International Academic Mobility of the Lecturer from the Department of Economics and Enterprise Finance at the University of Malta
General Information
Professor Kateryna Bagatska from the Department of Economics and Business Finance, at the invitation of the International European University (Malta), participated in the Academic mobility program to teach the courses "Financial Management" and "Economic Analysis" at the business school of the Maltese campus.
The courses were taught using a modular approach, which involved daily classes (2-3 sessions) for one course over a short period. The first visit took place in November 2024, and the second one occurred in March 2025. During the academic mobility period, both lecture and practical sessions were held, as well as exams. In addition to Maltese students, the course participants included students from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Morocco, Tanzania, and other countries, which provided invaluable teaching experience in working with a multinational student audience. Besides classroom teaching, communication with students regarding questions and additional explanations was conducted through Google Classroom, which helped enhance the understanding of the subject.
The mobility practice contributed to the improvement of professional skills by familiarizing the lecturer with the teaching methods at a European Union university, enhancing the teaching of multinational groups in English, adapting to European education standards, and learning from international experience in organizing the educational process. This collaboration also laid the foundation for future exchanges of experience.
