General Information
Conducting guest lectures by practitioners for SUTE higher education students is important for training competitive specialists whose knowledge and competencies meet market needs. On April 7, 2025, as part of the functioning of the student scientific clubs «Competition of the XXI century» and «Synergy of industry markets», a guest lecture on «Implementation of international infrastructure projects in the context of the Connecting Europe Facility» was held by Vasyl Kayukin, Project Manager of the EU-funded Project Implementation Group of the Corporate Finance Department of Ukrainian Railways, Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration and Management, SUTE graduate.
The lecturer outlined the importance and role of transport infrastructure in the proper functioning of the economy, pointed out the directions of implementation of international projects aimed at enhancing the development of the railway network in Ukraine, and identified the prospects for cooperation between our country and the European Union in the development of infrastructure facilities. In his lecture, Mr. Vasyl paid special attention to the areas of strengthening integration cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
At the end of the lecture, the students received meaningful answers to a number of questions about the practice of implementing international infrastructure projects, prospects for further development of transport infrastructure in the context of Ukraine's European integration, and employment opportunities for SUTE students at Ukrainian Railways.
The Department of Economics and Competition Policy and SUTE students thank Vasyl Kayukin for the excellent lecture, friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of international infrastructure projects.
