KNUTE traditionally is an active participant of Francophonie’s activities
General Information
In the framework of cooperation between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law Marlena Mherian took part in the International festival of Francophonie that was organized by the AUF Bureau of Central and East Europe in the city of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
Festival was preceded by competitive selection which M. Mherian successfully passed and received a scholarship from AUF (she also recently finished Bachelor program in d’Auvergne University, France).
82 students from 20 European countries took part in the festival. During this event our student took active part in the conference of Paul Emond “One in Waterloo” joined by Brussels delegation, round table “Useful Francophonie” organized with help and participation of Francophonie Business-club in Cluj-Napoca, conference of M. Chotia Amodsen “Learn, study and discover in the digital era”, in the competition “Questions for Francophonne” and also worked in groups with students from different European countries.
During the festival traditional evening was held where M. Mherian together with other students from our country presented KNUTE and told about Ukraine and its biggest cities. Thanks to this traditional evening participants of the festival could learn more about our country, traditions, mentality and off course about KNUTE. Participants watched video about most important cities of Ukraine, historic sights of Ukraine and saw videos of 4 HEI. During the evening our student together with other Ukrainian representative OlenaMedinska performed a national Ukrainian dance and taught it to other participants and Yehor Yermachenko performed “Little flower” on clarinet. One of the parts of this evening was a presentation of national cuisine during which everyone could taste Ukrainian dishes. Foreign students liked very much Ukrainian presentation. Participants of the conference also visited Bucharest Parliament and salt caves in city Turda.
This festival helps to popularize foreign language studies, strengthening cooperation between universities in general and with Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, possibility of engaging new partners, etc.
Our student worthy represented KNUTE and Ukraine and was awarded with diploma from Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.
In the nearest future meeting is expected to be held with regional director of AUF M. Fabien Florie that has to facilitate international connection of our HEI.
