The amount of information available to the world has reached enormous proportions. 90% of the data acquired by humanity over the course of its existence has been obtained over the past four years, and by 2025 this amount of information will double and reach an unprecedented 175 zettabytes.

Data Science is not just a new buzzword in the IT world. It is something that will change the world of programming, business, and even consumers no less than the invention of the steam engine or the personal computer did in its time.

Data Science, Data Analytics, Big Data, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning are the most relevant sections of Data Science that are included in the training of specialists in the educational program "Information Technologies and Business Analytics (Data Science)".

The bachelor's and master's degree programs in Information Technology and Business Analytics (Data Science) provide training of a broadly specialized professional to analyze data and make optimal decisions in various fields of activity that require fundamental knowledge of mathematics, computer science, analytics, and modeling.

In 2022, the university launched an English-language master's program "Information technologies and business analytics (Data Science)".   .

  • comprehensive business analysis of complex systems of various nature based on the Data Science methodology;
  • construction and analysis of expert systems and artificial intelligence systems;
  • development and systematic analysis of machine learning methods and business process optimization algorithms;
  • Identification of basic data that affect the development of physical, economic, and social processes, separation of stochastic and uncertain factors in them, and study of dependencies between them;
  • solving the problems of big data intellectual analysis in various fields of science, technology, finance, socio-economic, political and other areas;
  • computer implementation of mathematical models of real processes and systems;
  • use of software for data analysis (Power BI, Tableau, RapidMiner), universal and specialized programming languages (C#, Java, Python, R, SQL) for the purpose of conducting systematic research.

According to the most authoritative website  Glassdoor, which annually publishes the most relevant professions, data analysts have been among the leaders of the rating for 7 years in a row.

According to the latest report by the World Economic Forum 90% of companies in the world will need data analytics specialists in 2025. The report provides real data on the need for Data Science Skills in all areas of human activity without exception. The first three positions in the top 20 professional characteristics of the professionals of the future are occupied by the roles that are directly studied in the educational program "Information Technology and Business Analytics (Data Science).
