On February 27-28, 2023, the International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Ukraine in the Space of Social Communications: Society, Media, Reflections of War" (to the anniversary of the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the Russian invasion) will be held online at the State University of Trade and Economics, dedicated to discussion of issues of peace and war in the media discourse, analysis of media reflections on Russian invasion of Ukraine, study of social communications under conditions of war, in particular the realities of journalism, advertising and public relations, understanding of infodemic, information wars and confrontation of narrative discourses, development of media education and media culture, discussion of innovations in training specialists in the field of social communications.

The main topics of the conference:

  • Issues of war and peace in theoretical and practical media discourses.
  • The coverage of Russia's war against Ukraine in Ukrainian and foreign media.
  • The impact of war and crisis phenomena on the development of society, media, advertising communications, and public relations.
  • The perception of Ukraine and Ukrainians in foreign media receptions.
  • Global conflicts in the 21st century and their media representation.
  • Realities of the information war, effective countermeasures against media manipulations, and fact-checking.
  • Trends in the development of social communications and media education in Ukraine and the world; innovative educational technologies in the training of journalists, advertisers, and PR specialists.
