EU authorized economic operator program: implementation in Ukraine (EUAEOUA)

Project purpose:

The project is aimed at promoting the development and dissemination of European studies on the procedure for obtaining the status of Authorized Economic Operator - AEO (AEO authorization) in the context of the implementation of EU experience, which will be held as a module for different target groups at least 8 times in different cities of Ukraine during the project implementation period.

Project target audience:

• students and young researchers of the State University of Trade and Economics and other universities;
• teachers and scientists of higher education institutions of Ukraine; business representatives and business associations;
• future officials of customs authorities of Ukraine;
• customs brokers and other customs intermediaries;
• experts and practitioners involved in the implementation of foreign economic activity;
• representatives of state authorities and local self-government;
• other interested persons involved in the implementation of international trade operations.

Project main areas of activity:

• Development of the training course "EU Authorized Economic Operator Program: Implementation in Ukraine" (40 hours), its piloting as part of the project;
• Conducting a round table: Authorized economic operator: European experience and Ukrainian realities;
• Development, presentation and discussion of recommendations regarding the further implementation of EU experience in the field of AEO in the legislation and practice of Ukraine;
• Dissemination of EUAEOUA project results (active pages on Facebook and other social networks).

Project expected results:

• Creation of the handbook "AEO status: a detailed guide";
• Publication of scientific articles on the experience of the authorized economic operator program in the EU and Ukraine;
• creation of a basis for business partnership between customs and other state bodies involved in the international trade chain;
• increasing the transparency of Ukrainian business, introducing the principles of fair competition;
• facilitating the exit of Ukrainian exporters with AEO status to foreign markets.
