European Education Center

Online lecture of a French practical teacher of hotel and tourism business for students of FRHTB

Jacques Barthelemy, president of the Charme & Caractère hotel chain and lecturer at the University of Toulouse, held an online lecture on the topic "New professions in the tourism, hotel and restaurant business during the Covid-19 pandemic" in frameworks of the agreement on international cooperation between the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and the Federation of Exchanges France-Ukraine (FEFU) on November 30th, 2021.

Valerii Sai, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations greeted Mr. Barthelemy and introduced him to the audience. In addition to students and teachers of the Faculty of Restaurant and Hotel and Tourism Business, students of other English-taught bachelor's and master's programs were present. The online lecture was held with the organizational and coordination support of the European Education Center of KNUTE.

Mr. Barthelemy rose in his speech topical issues related to the emergence of new professions in the field of tourism and hospitality, caused by increasing digitalization in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The main competencies of such new professions were: digital sales coordinator, data analyst, travel consultant, internet marketer, digital territory coordinator, specialized web editor, digital communications specialist, etc. The lecture aroused great interest among the audience, many questions were asked. Representatives of the FRHTB expressed gratitude to Mr. Barthelemy and hope for further fruitful cooperation.


ERASMUS+: representative of KNUTE helds lectures in the Kazimierz Wielki University

Nataliia Beliaieva, Associate Professor of Management Department has been visiting the Kazimierz Wielki University (Bydgoszcz, Poland) from 22nd to 26th November, 2021 within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ program KA1: Learning mobility.

The purpose of the visit was to hold lectures in English on the «HR Management» for KWU students of bachelor's and master's programs, including Erasmus+ students. The topic was chosen by Polish partners from the list of all English-taught courses of the university.

The aspects of HR development management in organizations were considered, the tendencies of HR management were analyzed; the importance of HR evaluation and results of its activity in organizations was substantiated; the issues of team building were investigated during the lectures. Special attention was paid to the comparative analysis of HR management aspects in Ukrainian and Polish organizations.

Working meetings with Dr. Adam Jakuszewicz, Erasmus + Coordinator at the Institute of Law and Economics, as well as with M. A. Marta Janocha and Dr. Maryla Bieniek-Majka, responsible representatives of economic directions were also held as part of the visit to the Kazimierz Wielki University. During these meetings there was an exchange of views on the organization of teaching in the field of management and administration, especially within partnership between the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and the Kazimierz Wielki University.


International cooperation between KNUTE and the Federation "Exchanges France - Ukraine" in conditions of Covid-19

On November 17th, 2021, in Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics Anatolii Mazaraki, the Rector of KNUTE had an online meeting with Jacques Forgeron, the Co-president of the Federation «Exchanges France - Ukraine» (FEFU). The purpose of this online meeting was to re-sign the cooperation agreement between KNUTE and FEFU and to select KNUTE students for linguistic and professional summer internships in France. Valeriy Sai, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Tetiana Dupliak, Director of the European Education Center, Olga Gonse, FEFU Secretary and Herve Frade, FEFU French teacher also attended the online meeting.

It is worth mentioning that the cooperation between KNUTE and FEFU has lasted for 6 years and still continues despite even the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Just this summer, two KNUTE students had been on a professional internship in France. Victoriia Parkhomenko was an intern at the SPA Hotel «Le Belvedere» in Losert, while Daryna Vakarova took part in the sound and light show "Historical frescoes of Bridier". The theme for this year’s show was the Second World War. During their internship in France, students are not only able to master their professional skills at various businesses, but also have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the French language and get acquainted with the culture, traditions and history of this country.

According to the results of this year's interviews, four KNUTE students were selected for linguistic and professional internships. The issue of conducting an intensive two-week online course in French specialized terminology for our students was also discussed. A teacher from France may arrive to KNUTE for the second semester of this academic year if the epidemiological situation improves.


Delivery of certificates for success in studying of English and French languages

The students and academics of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics who have successfully completed their study courses at the European Education Center have recently received the certificates for success in studying of English and French languages. Students were awarded certificates in English at "Intermediate" and "Upper-Intermediate" levels, as well as in French at the level of "Débutant". Teachers received certificates for the completion of the "Business English" course.

Tetiana Dupliak, Director of the European Education Center congratulated the university's students and professors. She wished them success in further improving of knowledge of foreign languages.

KNUTE among the best Ukrainian HEIs by the number of Erasmus+ projects

According to the results of the competition within Ukrainian higher education institutions, held by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics was included to the top-list by the number of implemented European Union Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning mobility projects during 2014-2020. The National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine team has sent Erasmus+ promotional materials to KNUTE on this occasion. These promotional materials were presented to the most active students and teachers of our university who participated in the Erasmus+ program last year.

Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics has implemented 18 European Union Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning mobility projects with European HEIs of France, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia and Slovenia during the past few years. Thus, more than 120 students and teachers have got the opportunity to gain valuable academic experience – to study abroad for a semester or to conduct lectures in English at well-known European universities.

KNUTE proudly takes one of the leading positions among the Ambassadors of Ukraine and persistently continues to develop international cooperation, including within the framework of the EU Erasmus + Program!


ERASMUS +: visit of KNUTE representative to the Higher School of Economics and Management in Public Administration in Bratislava

Within the European Union's Erasmus + program, on July 10-16, 2021, the Head of the Digital Economics and Systems Analysis Department of KNUTE Andrii Roskladka visited the Higher School of Economics and Management in Public Administration in Bratislava (VŠEMvs).

The purpose of the visit was to participate in the opening of the IV International Summer School for students who will start studying in Slovakia in the 2021-2022 academic year on the joint master's program of double diploma «International Business Analytics», launched by KNUTE and VŠEMvs in 2018.

For the third year in a row, the best students of KNUTE have the opportunity to obtain a master's degree at one of the leading universities in Bratislava. This year, three masters of the Digital Economics educational program Vladyslav Ishtukin, Kateryna Vasylkivska and Alona Kashpruk, won the right to continue their studies in Slovakia. The opening of the IV International Summer School was also attended by graduates of the master's degree «Digital Economics» KNUTE, who have been studying and working in Slovakia for a year: Vladyslav Zaichenko (IBM, Bratislava), Olexii Shevchenko (T-Systems, Kosice), Ivanna Moskaliuk (T-Systems, Kosice), Daria Kopach (Pricewise, Bratislava), Oleksandr Zorenko (O2, Bratislava).

Embassy Advisor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovakia Dmitry Konyshev, First Vice-President of the IT Association of Slovakia Mário Lelovský, Rector of VŠEMvs Ľuboš Cibák, Chairman of the Academic Council of the University Stanislav Filip, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Michal Fabuš, Head of International Relations Department Marián Kováč greeted the participants.

On other days of the visit, working meetings were held with the management of the Higher School of Economics and Management in Public Administration in Bratislava and the IT Association of Slovakia on further cooperation with Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the joint master's program «International Business Analytics» and joint ERASMUS + projects.


Semester training of KNUTE students in leading EU universities within the Erasmus + program

Despite the quarantine restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics continues to implement European Union projects Erasmus + KA1: "Learning mobility" with leading European partner institutions. These programs are aimed to realize the right for international academic mobility and are an important component of internationalization strategy of the university in the international educational space.

Three KNUTE students took advantage of the Erasmus + scholarship program and studied abroad in the second semester of 2020-2021 academic year:

  • Kseniia Havrylko - University of Economics - Varna (Varna, Bulgaria);
  • Ohurtsova Maryna – University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Würzburg, Germany);
  • Kharkova Tetiana – Cracow University of Economics (Cracow, Poland).

During the period of quarantine restrictions training in these HEI is carried out with the help of distance technologies.

It is worth noting that the student exchange is bilateral. Three French students from the Audencia Business School – Josephine Lesaffre, Noemie Saint Jean and Tristan Vaureux – have been studying at KNUTE during second semester of the current academic year.

The delivery of French state bachelor’s degree diplomas to KNUTE students

A ceremony of delivering of French state bachelor’s degree diplomas to students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, who successfully completed a double degree program with the University of Grenoble Alps, Bachelor of Economics and Management, took place on May 26, 2021.

Mr. Etienne de Poncins, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine and Ms. Alix de Gassart, Attaché for University and Research Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine have attended this solemn event. Mr. Ambassador delivered a welcoming speech to the graduates of the double degree program and expressed his hope that they will contribute to the development of Franco-Ukrainian cooperation in the future.

Rector of KNUTE A. Mazaraki wished further success and improvement of professional competencies to the students. V. Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and T. Dupliak, Director of European Education Center, have joined to the rector's greetings.

Representatives of the University of Grenoble Alps: Ms. Laurence Baraldi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Mr. Faruk Ulgen, Director of the Department of Distance Learning Programmes and International Relations, and Ms. Natacha Collet, Charge of International Cooperation, also joined the graduation ceremony using Zoom.

Cooperation with the University Grenoble Alpes has been starting in 2013 and over 70 bachelor’s degree state diplomas of France were delivered to KNUTE students who successfully completed a double degree program during this period.

ERASMUS+: representative of KNUTE held lectures for students of the University of Economics - Varna

Tetiana Dupliak, the director of the European Education Center, Associate Professor of Tourism and Recreation Department has visited the University of Economics - Varna (Varna, Bulgaria) during May 10-14, 2021 within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ program KA1: Learning mobility.

The purpose of the visit was to hold lectures on trends of international tourism for the third year study students of specialty "Tourism" at the University of Economics - Varna. Tetiana Dupliak has presented KNUTE and Ukraine, as well as considered the problems and prospects of international tourism in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

T. Dupliak had working meetings with representatives of the Department of Economics and Organisation of Tourism of the Faculty of Management (Professor Stoyan Marinov and Chief Assistant Professor Todor Dyankov) and a representative of the International department (Ekaterina Koleva) during her visit to the University of Economics – Varna.

The directions of further cooperation and organizational aspects of the joint Erasmus+ project, including the arrival of the Bulgarian lecturer to KNUTE and studying of the Bulgarian exchange student on the English-taught educational program "International Tourism" in KNUTE, were considered. The possibility of cooperation between the relevant departments of both Bulgarian and Ukrainian universities, including double degree program, and assistance in organizing internships for Ukrainian students in Bulgaria were also discussed.


Representatives of KNUTE took part in the online seminar "France and the Eastern Partnership"

Recently, representatives of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics took part in the online seminar "France and the Eastern Partnership", in which the development of cooperation opportunities under the EU Erasmus + Program was discussed by higher education institutions of France and 5 Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). The event was organized by the French Embassy in Ukraine together with the French Embassies in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and the Campus France Paris Agency.

Participation of the University Agency of the Francophonie (AUF), Erasmus National Offices and higher education institutions from 6 countries during three days is an important element for the initiation and development of regional projects. Participants were provided with information on the calendar of applications for Erasmus+ projects and some methodological materials. 5 thematic sections were organized to initiate cooperation, in the field of science, tourism, Francophonie and food industry in particular.

Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector for Research and Education and International Relations, Tetiana Dupliak, Director of the Center for European Education and Serhii Kravtsov, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Recreation, attended the online seminar on behalf of KNUTE. They presented the results of international activities and internationalization of KNUTE in the European educational market, including the EU Erasmus+ Program results.

Kravtsov S. and Dupliak T. were speakers of the "Tourism" section and shared their experience in training specialists in the field of tourism at KNUTE. They also took an active part in discussing the areas of possible cooperation of our university with higher education institutions in France on double degree programs and KNUTE participation in Erasmus + projects.


ERASMUS +: online lectures by a representative of the University of Economics - Varna

Yanka Alexandrova, a lecturer of the University of Economics - Varna (Varna, Bulgaria), held online lectures on April 6th and 8th, 2021 within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project in the direction of KA1 Learning Mobility for students of English speaking master's programs of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

Lectures were covering the topics: "Alternative Finance: Business Models and Development Trends" and "Machine Learning Models for Risk Forecasting on P2P Lending Platforms".

During the visit, Y. Alexandrova had a working meeting with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center, on which areas of further cooperation between the two universities and organizational aspects of the joint ERASMUS+ project were discussed.


Representatives of KNUTE took part in the online event "ERASMUS+ DAYS for the youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition - KYIV"

General Information

Team of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and the Erasmus Student Network Kyiv conducted a joint online event "Erasmus+ Days for the youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition - KYIV "on April, 5 2021. Its aim was to inform young people about the opportunities for learning and training in leading European universities within the European Union Erasmus + programs. The event was held under the support of the EU Delegation to Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Erasmus+ Information Centre, Youth and European body of solidarity, as well as eight Ukrainian institutions of higher education, including the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

Andrii Vitrenko, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine and Maryna Popatenko, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine addressed the participants of the online event with a welcoming speech. 

Kateryna Zhdanova, the representative of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine presented individual educational opportunities of Erasmus+, and Vladyslav Tayanovsky told about the activities of the non-profit student organization Erasmus Student Network Kyiv.

The Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics was represented by Tetiana Dupliak, the Director of the European Education Centre, and Iryna Vivchar, an English-taught Master's degree student who has been studying in the United Kingdom under the Erasmus+ program during the semester. They shared their experience in implementing Erasmus+ projects at KNUTE and told in detail about the opportunities of Erasmus+ exchanges provided by the university, the requirements for candidates, participation in the competition, preparation of a package of documents and selection of participants for mobility. 

Over the past few years the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics has implemented 15 projects of European Union Program Erasmus+ KA1 “Learning Mobility” with European HEIs of France, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and other countries. This program gave the best students of our university the opportunity to study for a semester at leading European higher education institutions within the framework of the Erasmus+ scholarship program. 

Even in extremely difficult epidemiological conditions, KNUTE continues to implement relevant projects and our students are currently studying at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Germany), University of Economics – Varna (Bulgaria) and Krakow University of Economics under the Erasmus+ Program.



Online lecture of a French practical teacher of hotel and tourism business for students of FRHTB

Jacques Barthelemy, president of the Charme & Caractère hotel chain and lecturer at the University of Toulouse, held an online lecture on the topic "Adaptation of hotel, tourism and restaurant business in the period after Covid" in frameworks of the agreement on international cooperation between the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and the Federation of Exchanges France-Ukraine (FEFU) on March 18th, 2021.

Valerii Sai, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations introduced Mr. Barthelemy to the audience. In addition to students of the Faculty of Restaurant and Hotel and Tourism Business, teachers of the Department of Tourism and Recreation and the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business were present. The online lecture was held with the organizational and coordination support of the European Education Center of KNUTE.

Mr. Barthelemy raised very important issues regarding the resumption of tourism, hotel and restaurant business in the post-Covid period in his speech. He also talked about the importance of emotional intelligence for workers in this field, the evolution of demand and digitalization in tourism, hotel and restaurant business. The lecture was interactive and aroused great interest among the audience. Teachers and students of KNUTE asked interesting questions, to which Jacques Barthelemy provided comprehensive answers. All participants of the online lecture were satisfied and expressed hope for further communication and fruitful cooperation.


The first online lesson with a native speaker – teacher Hervé Fradet for students studying French at the European Education Center took place on March 11th, 2021. It was held within the framework of agreement on international cooperation between the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, the Federation of Exchanges France - Ukraine (FEFU) and the Association of French as a Foreign Language France - Ukraine (FLEFU).

Mr. Fradet usually comes to KNUTE every spring with a purpose of a two-week training course in business French. Unfortunately, this year the difficult epidemiological situation in the world prevented him from arriving to Kyiv and visiting our university. However, Mr. Fradet gladly agreed to conduct a series of online classes in French for KNUTE students.


Visit of the Ambassador of France in Ukraine to KNUTE

On February 23, 2021, Etienne de Poncins, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Ukraine visited the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. He was accompanied by Alix de Gassart, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, and Paul Souligoux, Attaché for Language Cooperation.

Mr. Ambassador made a speech to the French-speaking students and teachers of KNUTE on the development of French-Ukrainian cooperation.

For 20 years KNUTE has been successfully implementing double degree programs together with higher education institutions in France: the University of Clermont-Auvergne, the University of Grenoble Alpes, the Audencia Business School, the University of Paris Est Creteil and others. During the whole period of fruitful cooperation students of the university have received more than 100 Master's and more than 250 Bachelor's state diplomas of France, as well as Ukrainian diplomas.

During the visit Mr. Etienne de Poncins had a meaningful conversation with Mr. Anatolii Mazaraki, the Rector of KNUTE. Within this conversation they were exchanging views on further deepening of cooperation between universities.

The French delegation visited the university campus, SMART-library, computer classes, specialized laboratories, assembly hall and other components of the KNUTE material and technical base with great interest. After getting acquainted with the university and meaningful communication, the distinguished guests of KNUTE were convinced why French students from partner higher education institutions with pleasure choose our university for exchange semester to study on master's programs in a foreign language.


Online lectures for KNUTE students by French professors

      Students of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, who are studying within a double degree programme in the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA), from January, 11th to February 5th, 2021 have been attending online lectures of leading UGA professors in such courses as: «Money and Finance», «International Economics», «Industrial Economics», etc.
      The corresponding double degree programme is a unique opportunity to obtain a state diploma of the French Republic with a degree «Licence» («Bachelor»). Education is conducted in English or French at student's choice. Studying is held on a distance basis with the possibility to spend the second semester in France. Please contact the KNUTE European Education Center for detailed information on the conditions of participation in the double degree programme.


Cooperation between KNUTE and the Federation "Exchanges France - Ukraine" continues in a pandemic condition

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and the Federation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" (FEFU), an online meeting between Valerii Sai, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations, Tetiana Dupliak, the director of the European Education Center and their French colleagues: Jacques Forgeron (Co-President of the Federation), Josie Annequin (Association of French as a Foreign Language), Denise Durin (responsible for student practice) andOlga Goncet (Secretary of the Federation). The purpose of the online meeting was to discuss further cooperation between KNUTE and FEFU and to select students for the summer internships in France.

The meeting was also attended by Jacques Barthelemy – President of the hotel chain "Hôtels de Charme et de Caractère", as well as a lecturer in hospitality and tourism of the University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès. He kindly offered to hold a series of lectures on topical issues of tourism and hotel business for students of FRHTB, and promised to visit our university.

International academic programs of KNUTE in the film of the French Institute of Ukraine of the Embassy of France in Ukraine

Representatives of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics took part in the film of the French Institute of Ukraine of the French Embassy in Ukraine in the framework of the "Night of Ideas 2021" project. Valerii Sai, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations, Tetiana Dupliak, director of the European Education Center and three KNUTE students shared their experiences and impressions from the distance double degree program with the University Grenoble Alpes (France).

The International Meeting "Night of Ideas 2021", dedicated to the free exchange of ideas and knowledge, was launched by the main French institute in Paris. The "Night of Ideas 2021" is especially important in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The topic "Relatives" was chosen to reflect on the relationship with space and mobility, the new elements of solidarity that require a crisis of economic and social models, as well as the place of digital technologies in our society.


Erasmus +: student exchange with European HEI continues in a pandemic conditions

Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics despite the difficult epidemiological situation in which the world community has found itself as a result of the pandemic Covid-19 continues to implement European Union Erasmus+ project Key Action 1: Learning mobility with leading European institution of higher education - KNUTE partners.

In the first semester of 2020-2021 academic year KNUTE students Oleksandra Nikolaiets and Kateryna Zinchenko took advantage of the Erasmus+ scholarship program and went to study at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Würzburg, Germany). For the period of quarantine restrictions, training in this HEI is carried out using distance technologies.

The exchange within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + project is bilateral. During this semester, Oleksandra Tukuser, exchange student from University of Economics - Varna (Varna, Bulgaria) is studying at KNUTE in the specialty "Tourism".

It is worth mentioning that the cooperation of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics with the Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) also continues. Currently, Gael Quesada-Noot, an exchange student from the Audencia Business School, is studying at KNUTE studying in our university under the master degree program in English “Financial Intermediation”.

In the second semester of 2020-2021 academic year, we expect the arrival of five more exchange students from France, Germany and Bulgaria.

Double degree programme in progress

On July 9, 2020, a significant event took place at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. Even the COVID-19 pandemic did not prevent the delivery of French diplomas to KNUTE students who have successfully completed a double degree programme with the University of the Grenoble Alpes.

Rector of KNUTE A. Mazaraki congratulated students and wished them success in further improvement of professional competencies.

The delivery ceremony was attended by Alix de Gassart – Attaché for University and Research Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine, who conveyed greetings from Mr Etienne de Poncins, French Ambassador to Ukraine to students.

Ms. de Gassart expressed hope that students would contribute to further development of French-Ukrainian cultural and educational cooperation.

This double degree program – is a unique opportunity, as any student can obtain not only Ukrainian diploma but also the French state diploma «Licence» («Bachelor degree»), which significantly increases the competitiveness of graduates in the labour market. Studying is conducted in either English or French on a distant learning basis with an opportunity to study during the second semester in France.  Students from all the faculties of the final year of Bachelor and Master Degree, as well as alumni of KNUTE can grasp this chance.

Erasmus+: semester studies of KNUTE students at the leading European universities in the epidemic conditions

General Information

Despite the difficult epidemiological world situation and implementation of quarantine measures, students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics have continued their semester studies at leading European universities – KNUTE partners within the European Union Programme Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning mobility. For the period of quarantine restrictions, studying process was carried out using distance technologies.

In the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, 10 KNUTE students have received Erasmus scholarships:

  • Bobrikova Yana – University of Economics (Varna, Bulgaria);
  • Bondar Daria – University of Western Attica (Athens, Greece);
  • Stronska Tetiana and Lysak Daryna – Paris-Est Créteil University (Paris, France);
  • Vivchar Iryna and Zalizniak Mariia – University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK);
  • Liashenko Daria and Kolomiiets Olena – University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Würzburg, Germany);
  • Lototskyi Vladislav and Yarmolenko Anastasiia – School of Economics and Management of Public Administration in Bratislava (Bratislava, Slovakia).

In total, 20 KNUTE students have studied in European higher education institutions under the EU Erasmus Programme in the current academic year. These programmes are aimed to realization of right to international learning mobility and are an important part of university’s internationalization strategy in the international educational space.


Francophone Events at KNUTE

On March 4, 2020, the French delegation consisting of: Alix de Gassar - Attache of the French Embassy in Ukraine, Nicolas Manetti - Director of the Specialized Francophone Institute for Administration and Management in Sofia (ESFAM) and representatives of the International French School (Tiffin Henry - Director, Hennadiy Korchahin - President, Victor Voitovych - Business French Teacher) visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

A cooperation agreement with the International French School (IAS) was signed during the visit. The agreement was signed by KNUTE first Vice-Rector for scientific and pedagogical work Nataliia Prytulska and International French School Director Tiffen Henry.

ESFAM Director Nicolas Manetti presented the Master's degree programs and scholarship opportunities for KNUTE Francophone students and professors.

Within the framework of the program, there was held a working meeting of French guests with Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations Valerii Sai and Director of the European Education Center Tetiana Dupliak. The parties discussed details of further cooperation.


Visit of representatives of Business School «ISC Paris»

General Information

February 27, 2020 French delegation of Cyril Noirtin, Deputy Director-General of «ISC Paris» (Paris, France) and Volodymyr Pylypenko, directors of the MERSEN Group (France) visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

Business School “ISC Paris” was founded in 1963 and is accredited by two international organizations: AACSB, AMBA.

Representatives of the French delegation had an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. As a result, the trends of perspective cooperation were determined.

Guests also had a chance to familiarize with the activity of KNUTE, university’s scientific developments, study process, resource base including the SMART-library, VR-studio and laboratories.


Presentation of Audencia Business School

On February 12, 2020, a presentation of Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) was held for students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

A representative of the business school’s international department presented the Audencia Summer Term 2020 program as well as a semester exchange and double degree programs.

According to HappyAtSchool®2020 ranking, which assesses the quality of student life, Audencia Business School is first among French business schools. This leading educational institution is accredited by three international organizations: EQUIS - EFMD, AACSB, AMBA. In recent years, more than 50 students of  KNUTE have participated in international academic mobility programs offered by this business school without tuition fees.

Student exchange between KNUTE and Audencia Business School

Recently students of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics Zhakun Oleksii and Sharan Daria have returned from the Audencia Business School (Nantes, France), where they had been studying for a semester within a cooperation agreement under the master degree program “International Management”. Daryna Pohorila went to study at the Business School for the second semester under master degree program “Media and Communication”.

Each year, this leading European higher education institution organizes winter and summer schools in economics, management and marketing. This January two KNUTE students, Andrieshyn Iryna and Ladyha Polina, successfully completed the module course "Branding and Innovation" at the “Winter Programme 2020”, which was held in Paris, France.

It is worth mentioning that student exchange is bilateral. Three international students from Audencia Business School had been studying in our university under the master degree programs in English: Melanie Blanc − “Tourism, Resort and Recreation Management”, Hugo Banchet andGabriel Gaston − “Financial Intermediation”. Two new French students, Bertrand Hiaux and Clemence Loriot de Rouvray, are currently studying at KNUTE under the master degree program in English «Management of foreign economic activity».

International students completed the semester study in KNUTE

During the first semester of 2019-2020 academic year five foreign students studied at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in frameworks of international academic mobility programs.

Three international students from France (Audencia Business School) had been studying in our university under the Master degree programs in English: Melanie Blanc chose “Tourism, Resort and Recreation Management” and Hugo Banchet, as well as Gabriel Gaston chose “Financial Intermediation”.

Also, two international students have been studying at our university within the frameworks of European Union Program Erasmus+ KA1 “Learning Mobility”: Julia Bessendorf (University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Germany) studied under the Master degree programs in English “Hotel and Restaurant Management” and Evgenii Kizelis (University of Economics – Varna, Bulgaria) under the Bachelor program “International Business”.

Exchange students have successfully completed their studies in the chosen specialization, have met friends in Ukraine and familiarized with the traditions and culture of our country.


ERASMUS +: Visit of Representatives of the University of Central Lancashire

From October 7 to October 11 representatives of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Dr.Daniel Waller and Dr. Jiai Wang have been visiting Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE) within the framework of the ERASMUS + project KA1 "Learning Mobility". They have participated in the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Global Imperatives of Business and Law Development" on October 10-11in KNUTE.

During visit Dr. Daniel Waller and Dr. Jiai Wang met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs and International Relations, and Tetiana Dupliak, the Director of the European Education Center. They discussed the areas of further cooperation and organizational aspects of the implementation of the joint ERASMUS + project. Representatives of UCLan also had a conversation with Alla Latigina, the Head of the foreign philology and translation department.

Dr. D. Waller gave also lecture on the topic "Brexit: UK and EU" for students of bachelor’s English speaking programmes and Dr. J. Wang gave a lecture on "Intercultural Communication" for students of master's English speaking programmes.


Students of KNUTE are studying at Audencia Business School

Recently, students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (19 persons) came back from study in «Summer term» of the Audencia Business School (Nantes) within the framework of Cooperation Agreement between KNUTE and this leading institution of higher education in France. Training was held in groups divided by modules: Cross cultural management, Branding and advertising strategies, Social media, Digital marketing, International Marketing and Communications, International business, European finance.
The cooperation between KNUTE and this prestigious European business school, which is well-known for its Academic Program in Management, began in 2013. Since then 17 KNUTE students took part in one term exchange, 5 students received a degree in International Master in Management, and 2 students are still studying there within the double degree program.
It is worth mentioning that the student exchange is bilateral which proves that KNUTE is recognized on the international educational level. In last year’s 5 French students were studying here during one semester at the English language programs. In 2019-2020 academic year 3 new students of Audencia Business School will come for a study under the student exchange program to KNUTE.


Working Visit of Anatolii Mazaraki, KNUTE Rector, to University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Within Erasmus+ Program

July 3-10, 2019 within the framework of the Erasmus +  A. Mazaraki, the Rector of KNUTE, A. Latygina, the Head of the foreign philology and translation department and N. Mazaraki, the Professor of international private, commercial and civil law department, visited the leading institution of higher education in Great Britain – University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). The cooperation of universities has been established for the last five years. Despite the short duration of stay, the program of events was very rich.

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting with the leadership of UCLan was held; a number of educational issues regarding the development of cooperation between universities was discussed. During the negotiations with Liz Bromley, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Corporate, Daniel Waller, Director of the School of Languages ​​and Global Studies and his deputy Dzyai Wang, an agreement between the University of Central Lancashire and the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics was signed.

Also agreement about the visit of Daniel Waller and Dzyai Wang to KNUTE at the beginning of October, 2019 was reached. They will hold lectures on bachelor's and master's English speaking programs, and will take part in The 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Global Imperatives of Business and Law Development".

Implementation of student mobility under the Erasmus + project will take place in the next academic year in the form of semester training of 10 students of KNUTE at UCLan.


Students of KNUTE are studying at Grenoble Alpes University

The students of KNUTE – Buka Sofia, Diakova Veronika and Kucher Anna – have recently come back from the Grenoble Alpes University (France), where they had been studying for one semester under the double degree program «Bachelor Degree in Economics and Management». During their studies the students attended classes in such disciplines, as Money and Finance, International Economics, Industrial Economics, French for Foreigners, etc.

For students, who have studied under the program in English – Myronov Oleksandr and Shylo Bohdan an educational trip for on week to UGA was organized in spring. During the trip students had a chance not just to study but also visit the leading enterprises of Rhone-Alpes region.

This double degree program – is a unique opportunity, as any student can obtain not only Ukrainian diploma but also the French Republic state diploma «Licence» («Bachelor degree»). Studying is conducted in either English or French on a distant learning basis with an opportunity to study during the second semester in France.  Students from all the faculties of the final year of Bachelor and Master degree, as well as alumni of KNUTE can grasp this chance.

ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE participated in Erasmus+ Staff Week at Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg

Tetiana Gordiienko, leading specialist of International Relation Department, associate professor of the Department of Banking had been visiting Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, Germany under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «KA1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals – Staff mobility for teaching and training activities between programme and partner countries» from 24 till 28, June 2019.

The aim of the visit was participation in the Erasmus+ Staff Week. The representatives of HEIs from Germany, Serbia, Côte d'Ivoire and Ukraine were present at this event. The program of the event included the exchange of best practices in organizing student and research mobility and discussions of possible cooperation, including cooperation within the Erasmus+ program.

During the week, participants were given an opportunity to get acquainted with the structure of the institution, the conditions of study and residence of students, as well as to take part in excursions.

During the stay, a meeting with Olha Komashevska, a student KNTEU, was held. Olha is currently studying at Otto-Friedrich University in Bamberg under the Erasmus+ program, and was pleased to share her positive impressions of participating in the program and studying in Germany


Erasmus +: semester training of students of KNTEU in leading European universities

Recently, students of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics have come back from one semester studies abroad, successfully passing the exam sessions in the leading European HEI-partners of KNUTE. Students had been studying within the framework of the European Union Program Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning mobility.

7 students of KNUTE took the grant opportunities of Erasmus+ Program with the aim of one semester study at the leading European HEIs:

  • University of Bamberg (Bamberg, Germany) – Olha Komashevska.
  • University of Economics (Varna, Bulgaria) – Halchun Juliia.
  • Sofia University of St. Kliment Ohridski (Sofia, Bulgaria) – Chala Anhelina.
  • University of Western Attica (Athens, Greece) – Koverha Konstiantyn, Darabash Diana.
  • Paris-Est Créteil University  (Paris, France) – Taianovskyi Vladyslav.
  • The University of Szczecin (Szczecin, Poland) – Belinskyi Dmytro.

In the current year, KNUTE implements 9 projects with European HEIs partners within the framework of the EU Erasmus + Program. These programs are aimed to realization of right to international learning mobility and are an important part of university’s internationalization strategy in the international educational space.

In the next academic year student mobility for one semester study under the Erasmus+ Program to higher education institutions of the UK, France and Germany will be implemented.


Representative of KNUTE took part in the Days of the French Language for Specialists in the Educational Sphere of Ukraine

Tetyana Romanchenko, the teacher of the French language of the European Education Center of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics participated in the Days of the French Language for Specialists in the Educational Sphere of Ukraine. This event took place on June 13-15, 2019 in Kyiv with the support of the French Institute and the French Embassy in Ukraine.

Representatives from Moldova, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, France and Ukraine discussed issues related to the practice of teaching and speaking French in Ukraine during the French Days program for educational professionals. Isabelle Dumont, Ambassador of France in Ukraine, had a speech at the opening ceremony. She noticed that the French Embassy will continue to support the teaching of the French language in Ukraine.


Certificates Awarding to Students of KNUTE who Successfully Passed Training in English and French Languages in the European Education Center

June 10th, 2019 the ceremony of certificates awarding took place at the European Education Center. The students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, who successfully completed their studies in English and French languages were awarded with certificates.

According to the results of the studies, 32 certificates in English language («Pre-Intermediate», «Intermediate» and «Upper-Intermediate» levels) and in French language («Débutant» level) were delivered. Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center, gave a speech for the audience. Also Tetiana Shyrmova and Tetiana Romanchenko, teachers of English and French languages congratulated KNUTE students with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of language skills.

ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE took part in the International Credit Mobility Week of the University of West Attica

Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center, had been visiting the University of West Attica under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 20 till 25, May, 2019.

The aim of the visit was participation in the events of the International Credit Mobility Week of the University of West Attica. The representatives of the HEIs from ALBANIA, AZERBAIJAN, ARMENIA, BELARUS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, EGYPT, GEORGIA, INDIA, ISRAEL, KAZAKHSTAN, KENYA, MALAYSIA, MOLDOVA, MOROCCO, SERBIA, SYRIA, THAILAND, TUNISIA and Ukraine took part in this event.

Within the frameworks of the visit T. Dupliak took part in the workshops where the representatives of international departments of leading HEIs shared their experience concerning the realization of credit mobility programs. Also KNUTE was presented by Tetiana Dupliak with Kostiantyn Koverha and Diana Darabash, students who are terminating their studies in University of West Attica under the Erasmus+ project.

The program also included summing up the realization of the European Union Project Erasmus+ «Learning mobility». The efficiency analysis of the project was made. Also the possible directions of cooperation besides the Erasmus+ project concerning the realization of student exchange were defined.

ERASMUS +: lecturer from the Varna Economic University visited KNUTE

Snezhana Sulova, the associate professor of the Varna Economic University, visited the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE) from May, 20th to May, 24th, 2019 under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ “Learning Mobility”.

The aim of the visit was teaching lectures on topics “Systems for electronic commerce” and “Software for creating e-shops” for students of bachelor's English speaking programs in KNUTE.

During the visit, Sulova S. had a working meeting with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations where the directions of deepening cooperation between the Varna Economic University and KNUTE were discussed.

ERASMUS +: representatives of the European University of the Republic of Macedonia visited KNUTE

On May 6-10, 2019, representatives of the European University of the Republic of Macedonia (Skopje, Macedonia), professor Zoran Gacovski and Stefan Yakimovsky visited the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE) within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project KA1 "Learning Mobility".

The purpose of the visit of Z. Gacovski and S. Yakimovski was to hold lectures for students of  bachelor's English speaking programs on such topics: “Information and Data Security”, “Cyber Security”, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of  learning mobility of students and teachers. Guests from Macedonia also had an opportunity to familiarize with the activities of our university, its scientific developments and the educational process.

During the visit Z. Gacovski and S. Yakimovski met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center.


ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE teaches in the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

Klavdiia Yatsyshyna, associate professor of the Management Department had been visiting the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 22 till 26, April, 2019.

The aim of the visit was teaching the discipline «Corporate Governance» in English language for Master Degree students, including the students who study under the Erasmus+ project in the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. The discipline was chosen by Bulgarian partners from the list of all the English-taught disciplines of our university.

During the lectures the aspects of corporate governance and evolution of corporate relations in the world were considered, the key features of modern corporations and approaches to the formation of integrated corporate structures were analyzed, the nature, models and principles of corporate social responsibility were explored and the importance of its evaluation was grounded on the example of world leaders in the sphere of e-commerce , the experience of successful and failed initial public offerings of securities (IPO) has been analyzed. Particular attention was paid to the comparative analysis of corporate governance models in Ukraine and Bulgaria.

Within the frameworks of the visit to the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, the meetings of our teacher with assoc. prof. Todor Yalamov, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alida Rizova, Ph.D., Head of International Relations Office at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Irena Atanasova, Erasmus coordinator of International Relations Office at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski were held. During the meetings the issues concerning teaching of the disciplines in corporate governance sphere were discussed.


ERASMUS +: Professors of the University of Central Lancashire visited KNUTE

April, 15-19, 2019 professors of the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK), Silke Engelbard and Delia Anne Jackson visited the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE) within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 "Learning Mobility".

The aim of the professors’ visit to KNUTE was teaching lectures and practical classes in such topics: ‘Shock advertising’, ‘Language issues in advertising’, and ‘The evolution of marketing communication in a digital age’ for students of bachelor's English speaking programs in KNUTE. In addition, a focus group with students was organized to investigate the impact of online advertising on the purchase of cosmetics.

During the visit S. Engelbard and D. Jackson met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center and Sergiy Kravtsov and Klaudia Yatsyshyna, persons in charge for English speaking programs in KNUTE. British professors had an opportunity to familiarize with the activities of our university, its scientific developments and the educational process.

It is worth mentioning that five students of KNUTE received a Bachelor's degree diploma of the University of Central Lancashire last year, and another ten students are nominated to this HEI within the ERASMUS + project for the next academic year.


ERASMUS +: the representatives of KNUTE have visited the Cracow University of Economics

Kravtsov Sergiy, leading specialist of International Relations Department, associate professor of the Department of Tourism and Recreation and Kravets Kateryna associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations had been visiting Cracow University of Economics under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 8 till 12, April, 2019.

The aim of the visit was participation in the International week events’ program «Intercultural differences and communication challenges». The representatives of HEIs from South Korea, China, Peru, Vietnam, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine were present at this event. The event’s program included presentations of each HEI and discussions of possible cooperation, including cooperation within the Erasmus+ program.

Teaching for students of the Cracow University of Economics in English language was one of the conditions of participation in the International week’s program. K. Kravets held lectures from the discipline «International Business» for future specialists in international trade who have been studying under the Bachelor and Master Degrees programs. Theoretical background and historical aspects of international business development were considered, the tendencies of international business development were analyzed, social and economical influence of international business was estimated, peculiarities of organization of the transnational corporations activity were highlighted during the lectures. Special focus was made on comparative analysis of indicators of international business development in Ukraine and in Poland.


Ceremony of French language certificates delivery

April 12, 2019  the ceremony of certificates delivery took place at the European Education Center. The students and teachers, who passed the two weeks intensive training from French economic terminology with Hervé Fradet, the teacher and representative of Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine, were awarded with certificates.

The study was held within the framework of international cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Federation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" (FEFU) and Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine. The cooperation has already been lasting for  four  years. During this time approximately 100 students had a chance to improve their skills in French by attending classes with native speakers. The students, who successfully passed the training in this year, were awarded the certificates in "Spoken French" and in "Business French".

Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center gave a speech for the audience. She congratulated KNUTE students with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of their level of French proficiency.


Presentation of grant programs of the French Embassy in Ukraine

March 21, 2019 for students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics was made a presentation by scholarships coordinator of French Republic Embassy in Ukraine Oksana Lando.

Mrs. Lando gave information about scholarships programs that government of France could granted for international students. Students also got to know about peculiarities of higher education system in France, differences in preparation of professionals in economy and management in HEIs of France and Ukraine.

During the visit an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center took place.

French Republic diplomas delivery

February 21, 2019, the French Republic diplomas delivery ceremony took place at Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics to students and graduates, who successfully passed their study last year under the double degree program with University of the Grenoble Alpes. 

Sylvain Rigollet, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation from the Embassy of France in Ukraine and Olga Hvorostyantko, coordinator of the Campus France had visited the ceremony.

Rector of KNUTE A. Mazaraki congratulated students and graduates with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of their level of professional competences.

ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE teaches in the University Paris-Est Créteil

Tetiana Dupliak, Director of the European Education Center, Associate Professor of the Tourism and Recreation Department had been visiting University Paris-Est Créteil (Paris, France) under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 11 till 15 February, 2019.

The aim of the visit was participation in the International week events’ program. The representatives of HEIs from Germany, Spain, China, Poland and Lithuania were present at this event. The event’s program included presentations of each HEI and discussions of possible cooperation, including cooperation within the Erasmus+ program.

Teaching for students of the University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) in English language was one of the conditions of participation in the International week’s program. T. Dupliak held lectures on the topic «Trends in tourism». Theoretical background and historical aspects of tourism development were considered, the trends of international tourism development were analyzed, social and economical impact of international tourism was estimated. Special focus was made on comparative analysis of indicators of international tourism development in Ukraine and in France.

Within the frameworks of the visit to the University Paris-Est Créteil the meetings with the representative of the international department Carole Torriero and Erasmus coordinator Ana Megrelishvili were held. During the meetings the issues concerning realization of the Erasmus+ project were discussed. Also the possible directions of cooperation besides the Erasmus+ project concerning the realization of student exchange and double degree were defined.

Student exchange program with Audencia Business School

Master degree students – Alina Bondarenko, Inna Novikova (Faculty of International Trade and Law), Dmytro Huliar (Faculty of Economics, Management and Psyсhology) and Olha Lykova (Faculty of Finance and Banking) have been studying during one semester in France within the frameworks of student exchange program and cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and Audencia Business School (Nantes, France). Students study under the program "International Master in Management" in English language.

The exchange is bilateral, as Augustin Mollet, student from this leading European HEI, currently has been studying in KNUTE. He chose the Master degree program in English "International Tourism Business" of the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business in our university.

It is worth mentioning that in the second semester 5 new students of KNUTE will go for a study under the student exchange program to Audencia Business School.

    


ERASMUS+: visit of professor from the University Paris Est Creteil

Philippe Adair, professor of the Faculty of Economics & Management from the University Paris Est Creteil (Paris, France) had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 "Learning Mobility" from 19th till 23rd of November.

The aim of the professor’s visit to KNUTE was teaching lectures from the disciplines "Non-Observed Economy in the European Union: measurements methods and estimates revisited" and "The interest rates and social performance: the microfinance industry in the MENA region" for Bachelor and Master Degree students who study under the programs in English language.

Philippe Adair met with Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center, Sergiy Kravtsov and Klaudia Yatsyshyna, persons in charge for English speaking programs in KNUTE, during the visit. French professor had a chance to familiarize with activity of our university, university’s scientific developments and study process.

It is worth mentioning that the relevant Erasmus+ project with the University Paris Est Creteil lasts the third year. Based on the results of previous years two KNUTE students studied one semester in this HEI under the Master degree program. Also it is planning one student mobility for the second semester of current academic year.

    


Visit of the representatives of the University of Bamberg

November 8, 2018 Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics was visited delegation of the University of Bamberg of Andreas Weihe, Director of International Office and Khrystyna Pavliukh, International Programs Coordinator.

The aim of the visit was nomination of the students for the participation in the Erasmus+ program in the 2nd semester 2018-2018, and also discussion of further cooperation between KNUTE and the University of Bamberg.

A. Weihe and K. Pavliukh had negotiations with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center during the visit. The representatives of both HEIs discussed the questions concerning realization of mutual European Union Program Erasmus+ KA1: “Learning Mobility”, and also discussed possibility of development of new student exchange programs.

In the selection process it was considered profiles of 3 students and was held interviews that candidates for the scholarship can answer on the questions concerning their specialties, expectations from study in Germany, plans for the future and the most important that the students proved  high levels of English and German.

   


Cooperation with the Federation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" continues – KNUTE students will undertake internship in France

October 10, 2018 within the frameworks of cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and Federation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" (FEFU) our university were visited French delegation Jacques Forgeron, Co-president of the Federation andChristina Forgeron, responsible person for the internship program. The aim of the official visit was discussion of further cooperation between KNUTE and FEFU, nomination of the students for the traineeship in France in summer 2019.

FEFU representatives presented conditions of linguistic and professional internship. During the bilateral dialogue with the audience, they answered the students’ actual questions. Also students who undertook internship in France this summer received the certificates.

After the presentation J.s Forgeron and C. Forgeron made a test and interview with KNUTE students who showed their willingness to undertake internship in France next summer. As the result of interview six students were nominated for the linguistic and professional internship.

Representatives of the French delegation had an informative talk with Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center, during their visit. They discussed future teaching of French economic programmes by tutors - volunteers from France in spring 2019.

    


International Francophone Colloquium in Ukraine "Languages, Science and Practice"

October, 3-4, 2018 with support of the French Embassy in Ukraine and the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF) took place the II International Francophone Colloquium in Ukraine "Languages, Science and Practice". The event was based in the Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Dnipro).

Around 150 scientists and professors of different scientific fields took part in the colloquium this year. They represented 15 countries – France, Ukraine, Moldova, Morocco, Tunisia, Mali, Algeria, Armenia, Iran, Congo, Jordan, Montenegro, Senegal, Belgium, and Burkina Faso. Presentations of the reports were divided in the following sections: philology, economics, medicine, architecture and construction.

V. Sai, the vice-rector, H. Sytnik, professor, and T. Dupliak represented Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in the program of the Francophone Colloquium. T. Dupliak made a report on the topic "Role of double degree programs in French – Ukrainian cooperation".

II International Francophone Colloquium in the context of the declared in Ukraine a Year of French language has an important meaning and will facilitate in development of  French – Ukrainian cooperation in sphere in education and science.

    


Internship of KNUTE students in France

KNUTE students, who had been studying French language in European Education Center and additionally attended intensive French classes of native speaker, recently came back from the linguistic and professional internship in France under the framework of cooperation agreement with aFederation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" (FEFU).

Linguistic internship gave a chance to the students – Oksana Briukhovetska and Daryna Gritsenko – to improve level of French language proficiency, to familiarize with traditions and culture of France, and to integrate into life of French families.

The improvement of French language under the program of FEFU gives to the students an opportunity having a professional internship at the French enterprises in future. Students Violeta Hryhorian, Vadym Yelisieiev, Veronika Voitovych and Hiuliaz Pashaieva had the internship at the enterprises according to their specialties in the university. The main aim of the internship was improvement of level of business French language proficiency and receiving of necessary knowledge and practical skills, which will be used in a further professional activity.

     


Awarding Certificates to Students of KNUTE who Successfully Passed Training in English and French Languages in the European Education Center

September 14, 2018 the ceremony of certificates awarding took place at the European Education Center. The students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, who successfully passed training from English and French languages, were awarded with certificates.

Study program at the European Education Center was carried out according to linguistic levels of European Union standards. Methodological support was provided by respected publishers of the UK and France.

It was delivered 21 certificates from English language («Intermediate» and «Upper-Intermediate» levels) and from French language («Débutant» and «Intermédiaire» levels). Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center, gave a speech for the audience. She congratulated KNUTE students with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of language skills.

   


ERASMUS+: visit of professor from the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

Atanas Georgiev, PhD, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration, Head of the Department Industrial Economics & Management from the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Sofia, Bulgaria) had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility from 10th till 14rd of September.

The aim of the professor’s visit to KNUTE was teaching lectures from the disciplines «International economic affairs and energy diplomacy» and «Management and innovations in energy» for Bachelor and Master Degree students who study under the programs in English.

Atanas Georgiev met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center during the visit. Together they discussed the directions of further cooperation and organizational aspects of Erasmus+ project’s realization.

Also the representative of the Sofia University had an informative talk with Anzhelika Gerasymenko, Doctor of economic Sciences, professor of the Department of Economics and Competition Policy. Both professors discussed sphere of scientific interests such as problems of market research, market power, concentration of capital, competition and competition policy etc. which can be an object of common scientific research of both universities.

   


KNUTE students first obtained diplomas of the University of Central Lancashire

July 17, 2018 the ceremony of diplomas of the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) delivering took place in the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The graduation was made for the students who during 2017-2018 academic year had been studying both in KNUTE and in the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on the Bachelor degree program "International Business Communication".

KNUTE has been cooperating with this HEI of UK since 2013. Annually students and professors of our university attend short-term classes in the "English Language Summer School" of the University of Central Lancashire. In summer 2017 within the EU program Erasmus+ 9 teachers, who hold lectures on the Bachelor and Master Degree programs in English language in KNUTE, had improved their qualification in the United Kingdom. The study in the UCLan was focused on acquisition of professional terminology in English and obtaining of international certificates that proved the level of English proficiency B2.

The representatives of the School of Languages and Global Studies of UCLan were present at the ceremony of diplomas delivering. They congratulated the students of KNUTE (Vladyslav Bezsmertnyy, Anastasiia Hryhorash, Dariia Mingaraieva, Dmytro Rudikov, Valentyn Zlatohorskyy) with such great achievements and wished them inspiration and success in further studies.

During the representatives’ visit the negotiations took place. The results of realization of Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility were made. It was discussed the perspectives of prolongation of cooperation including the realization of double degree program.

   


ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE took part in the International Staff Week of the University of Hohenheim

Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center, had been visiting the University of Hohenheim under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 2 till 6, July, 2018.

The aim of the visit was participation in the events of the International Staff Week that was devoted to the celebration of 200th anniversary of the University of Hohenheim. The representatives of the HEIs from France, Belgium, Canada, Australia, Hungary, Brazil, Czech Republic and Ukraine took part in this event. 

Within the frameworks of the visit T. Dupliak took part in the workshops where the representatives of international departments of leading HEIs shared their experience concerning the realization of student mobility programs and double degree programs. Also they shared the experience regarding to the development and realization of university’s internationalization strategy.

Also T. Dupliak took part in the Students Exchange Fair where was presented KNUTE for Hohenheim students. Filipp Mekh, Master degree student who is terminating his studies in UHOH under the Erasmus+ project, and Tobias Kiene, Master degree student who had been studying in the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics during the first semester 2017-2018 academic year under the Erasmus+ project were present too. 

The program also included summing up of realization of the European Union Project Erasmus+ «Learning mobility». The advantages of such a project were discussed. The efficiency analysis of such a project for both universities was made. Also the possible directions of cooperation besides the Erasmus+ project concerning the realization of student exchange and double degree were defined.

   


ERASMUS +: KNUTE students finished one semester studies in the leading Europe HEIs

Recently KNUTE students came back from one semester studies abroad successfully passed exams in the leading Europe HEIs – KNUTE partners. Students had been studying under the European Union Program Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning mobility.

 The current year Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics implements 10 projects with European HEIs – KNUTE partners under the Erasmus+ Program. These programs are aimed to realization of right to international learning mobility and are an important part of university’s internationalization strategy in the international educational space. The features of these programs are their implementation under the double degree programs that is so important for increasing of competitiveness of KNUTE alumni on the European labor market.

During the current academic year 23 KNUTE students took the grant opportunities of Erasmus+ Program with the aim of one semester study at the leading European HEIs:

  • University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK), Bachelor degree program "International Business Communication" - 5 persons (Vladyslav Bezsmertnyy, Anastasiia Hryhorash, Dariia Mingaraieva, Dmytro Rudikov, Valentyn Zlatohorskyy).
  • Grenoble Alpes University (Grenoble, France), Bachelor degree program "Economy and Management" - 10 persons (Staniia Haltseva, Inna Hrasevych, Violeta Hryhorian, Anastasiia Kovalenko, Anna Lapko, Bohdan Mankovskyi, Valeriia Masiuk, Hiuliaz Pashaieva, Alina Pototska, Anna Zhezhera).
  • Audencia Business School (Nantes, France), Master degree program "Media and Communication" - 4 persons (Nadiia Bohatyr, Anna Ganzha, Oleksandra Homeniuk, Tetiana Zubovetska).
  • Paris-Est Créteil University (Paris, France), Master degree program "International Master in Business Management" - 1 person (Bohdan Habliuk).
  • University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany), Master degree program "Economics and Business Administration" - 2 persons (Tetiana Bobrikova, Filipp Mekh).
  • The University of Szczecin (Szczecin, Poland), Master degree program "Economics" - 1 person (Alie Kurtbedinova).

In 2018-2019 will be implemented student mobility for one semester study under the Erasmus+ Program to HEIs of France, Germany, Bulgaria and Greece on the Master degree programs both in English and other state languages of these countries.

    


ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE teaches in the University of Szczecin

Nataliia Bieliaieva, associate professor of the Department of Management had been visiting the University of Szczecin under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ "Learning Mobility" from 21 till 25, May, 2018.

The aim of the visit was teaching the discipline "Human Resource Management" in English language for Bachelor and Master Degree students, including the students who study under the Erasmus+ project in the University of Szczecin. The discipline was chosen by Polish partners from the list of all the English-taught disciplines of our university.

During the lectures it was considered aspects of employee turnover and staff development in organizations. Tendencies of staff reduction management were analyzed. Importance of staff assessment and results of its activity in organizations was proved. Questions of team building and aspects of its management were studied. Assessment of personnel management in organization was made. It was put an emphasis on comparative analyses of aspects about personnel management in organizations in Ukraine and Poland.

Within the frameworks of the visit to the University of Szczecin, the meetings of our teacher with prof. Juliusz Engelhardt, Dean of the Faculty, prof. Wojciech Downar, Head of a Department of Organization and Management and Magdalena Lawicka, a specialist of business incubatorTechnopark Pomerania was held. During the meetings the issues concerning teaching of the disciplines in management sphere were discussed.

   


ERASMUS +: the representative of KNUTE teaches in the Cracow University of Economics

Tetiana Dupliak, associate professor of the Department of Tourism and Recreation had been visiting Cracow University of Economics under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 7 till 11, April, 2018.

The aim of the visit was participation in the International week events’ program «Cross-continental cooperation». The representatives of HEIs from USA, China, Brazil, Japan, Vietnam, Serbia, Bulgaria, Armenia and Ukraine were present at this event. The event’s program included presentations of each HEI and discussions of possible cooperation, including cooperation within the Erasmus+ program.

Teaching for students of the Cracow University of Economics in English language was one of the conditions of participation in the International week’s program. T. Dupliak held lectures from the discipline «International tourism» for future specialists in tourism who have been studying under the Bachelor and Master degree programs. Theoretical background and historical aspects of international tourism development were considered, the tendencies of international tourism development were analyzed, social and economical influence of international tourism was estimated, peculiarities of organization of the tourist transnational corporations and international hotel business operators’ activity were highlighted during the lectures. Special focus was made on comparative analysis of indicators of international tourism development in Ukraine and in Poland.

   


Intensive French Language Training for KNUTE students with native speaker

April 27, 2018 the ceremony of certificates awarding took place at the European Education Center. The students, who passed the two weeks intensive training from French economic terminology with Hervé Fradet, the teacher and representative of Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine, were awarded with certificates.

The study was held within the framework of international cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics,Federation "Exchanges France-Ukraine" (FEFU) and Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine. The cooperation has already been lasting for three years. During this time approximately 80 students had a chance to improve their skills in French by attending classes with native speakers. The students, who successfully passed the training in this year, were awarded the certificates in "Spoken French" and in "Business French".

Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center gave a speech for the audience. They congratulated KNUTE students with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of their level of French proficiency.

  


ERASMUS+: visit of the University Grenoble Alpes representatives and French Republic diplomas delivery

From 16 till 20 April, 2018 Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics had visited representatives of the University Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France) – Faruk Ulgen, Director of the Department of Distance Learning Programmes and International Relations, and Adelaide Fadhuile-Crepy, professor of the economic faculty.

The main reason of the F. Ulgen’s and A. Fadhuile-Crepy’s visit was delivering lectures from the disciplines «Microeconomics» and «International economical relations» within the program of EU Erasmus+ for the Bachelor degree students who study in English.

 Also the representatives of University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) took part in the French Republic diplomas delivery ceremony to KNUTE students, who successfully passed their study last year under the double degree program with this French HEI. Sylvain Rigollet, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation from the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine had also visited the ceremony.

Representatives of the UGA had an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations andTetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center during their visit.. Questions concerning realization of EU program Erasmus+ KA1 Learning Mobility and also perspectives of implementation of Master double degree program on the online study mode were discussed.

   


Visit of the representative of the University of Applied Sciences Wurzburg-Schweinfurt

April 16, 2018 Nataliya Kudelya, the representative of the international office of the University of Applied Sciences Wurzburg-Schweinfurt (Germany), had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of cooperation agreement.

N. Kudelya had negotiations with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center during the visit. The questions concerning realization of student exchange programs and also the perspectives of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility development were discussed. The representative from the German HEI also had a chance to familiarize with the activity of KNUTE, university’s scientific developments, study process, resource base etc.


ERASMUS+: Visit of Representative from the Audencia Nantes School of Business

From 10 to 13 April 2018, Faustine Lasseron, representative of the international department of the Audencia Nantes School of Business (France) visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility.

F. Lasseron met with V. Sai, Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations and T. Duplyak, director of the European Education Center, and discussed the implementation of the double diploma and student exchange programs, the results of the joint ERASMUS+ project and the prospects of further cooperation.

F. Laseron also presented a presentation of double diploma and semester exchange programs for KNUTE students. Students, participating in the exchange program last year and those, enrolled in the program for the next academic year, as well as a French student, studying at KNUTE under the exchange program for the English speaking master degree program, attended the presentation. Students were able to ask questions on the conditions and features of participation in such programs both in French and English.

   


ERASMUS+: visit of professor from the SMK University of Applied Social Sciences

Diana Garlytska, professor of the SMK University of Applied Social Sciences (Klaipeda, Lithuania) had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility.

The aim of the professor’s visit from 2 till 6 of April was teaching lectures from the discipline "Sustainable business and corporate social responsibility" for Master Degree students who study in English. Diana Garlytska had working meetings in the European Education Center and on some departments where the directions of further cooperation were discussed.

   


ERASMUS +: representatives of KNUTE teach in the University Grenoble Alpes

Galyna Piatnytska, professor of the Department of Management and Anastasiia Kasianova, associate professor of the Department of Economics and Business Finance taught the disciplines «Corporate Governance» and «Value Based Management» in English at the leading HEI of France – University Grenoble Alpes under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from 9 till 26, March, 2018.

 Both disciplines were chosen by French partners from the list of all the English-taught disciplines of our university. Galyna Piatnytska and Anastasiia Kasianova had been teaching the disciplines for French and international students.

Within the frameworks of the visit to the University Grenoble Alpes, the meeting of our teachers with Alexis Garapin, Dean of the Economic Faculty and Faruc Ülgen, Director of International Relations Department was held. During the meeting the issues concerning teaching of the disciplines in management and economics were discussed.

Two teachers from the University Grenoble Alpes will come in March 2018 for holding lectures for Bachelor and Master Degree students in English. Also it is planned the delivery of diplomas for students who successfully completed their study under the framework of double degree program "Bachelor degree in economy and management".

     


Students of KNUTE obtained diplomas of one of the leading European business schools

Students of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, who successfully completed their studying under the double degree program with Audencia Business School (Nantes, France), obtained a degree "International Master in Management".

During the study period in the Audencia Business School student had been studying the following disciplines European Business Management, International Business Strategies, Supply Chain Management, Business Planning, Change Management, Project Management, International Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management etc. The disciplines were taught in English.

KNUTE congratulates the students – Dmytro Gnatko, Kateryna Diadenko and Iryna Kylibaba – with such successful achievements.

    


Presentation of grant programs of the French Embassy in Ukraine and business school "EDHEC"

27 February, 2018 Olha Hvorostianko, coordinator of Campus France Ukraine, the representative of the department of university’s and scientific relations of the French Embassy in Ukraine, and Dariia Leshenko, representative of international department of business school "EDHEC" (Lille, France), had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.

Business school "EDHEC" is one of the leading HEIs of Europe that proposes wide range of Master Degree programs in English such as finance and economy, business administration, marketing and communication, law etc. Business school "EDHEC" took the 1st place in the ranking of Financial Times in 2017 among other business schools in preparing master degree students in finance. Business school has 5 campuses (Lille, Nice, Paris, London and Singapore).

Olha Hvorostianko made a presentation for KNUTE students about peculiarities of higher education of France and grant programs of the French Embassy in Ukraine.

Dariia Leshenko represented Master Degree programs in English which proposes business school "EDHEC".

During the visit an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center took place. 

    


ERASMUS+: visit of professor from the Cracow University of Economics

Karolina Kotulewicz, professor of the Cracow University of Economics (Cracow, Poland) had visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility.

The aim of the professor’s visit from 19th till 23rd of February was teaching lectures from the discipline "European integration" for Bachelor and Master Degree students of the Faculty of International Trade and Law.

Karolina Kotulewicz met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak,Director of European Education Center during the visit. Also professor had a chance to familiarize with peculiarities of study programs at the Faculty of International Trade and Law.

It is worth mentioning that the relevant Erasmus+ project with the Cracow University of Economics lasts the second year. Previous year one KNUTE student studied for one semester at the relevant university under the Master Degree program. It is planning that the next study year two KNUTE professors will teach economic disciplines in English. 

     


ERASMUS+: visit of the University Grenoble Alpes professor

From 1 till 8 February, 2018 Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics had visited Guillaume Vallet, professor of the University Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France). This visit was organized within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project KA1 Learning Mobility.

The aim of the professor’s visit was teaching lectures from the disciplines "European integration" and "The sociological roots of money" for Bachelor and Master Degree students who study in English. Students found out about the latest trends in economics and had an opportunity to ask topical issues.

Guillaume Vallet met with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director ofEuropean Education Center during the visit. French professor had a chance to familiarize with activity of our university, university’s scientific developments, study process, resource base etc.

It is worth mentioning that within the frameworks of the Erasmus+ project, Olha Golovachova, associate professor of the Department of International Economics now is being at the University Grenoble Alpes. O.Golovachova is teaching the discipline "International business" for the French students. Also two professors from KNUTE are going to visit the UGA with the aim of teaching economical disciplines in English.

     


ERASMUS+: international students completed the study in KNUTE

Two international students had been studying during the first semester 2017/18 academic year at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics within the frameworks of European Union Program Erasmus+ KA1 «Learning Mobility». The cooperation realizes based on international cooperation agreements between KNUTE and University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany) and also Audencia Business School (Nantes, France).

International students had been studying in our university under the Master degree programs in English – Tobias Kiene (Germany) chose «Financial Management» and Pierre Guillo (France) chose «International Economics». Students had successfully completed their study due to the chosen specialties, familiarized with the study process in KNUTE and got acquainted with Ukrainian students. Because this visit to Ukraine was the first one for the both of students, they also plunged into the culture of our country, familiarized with the traditions and life of the capital.

International students also took part in the study process in European Education Center of KNUTE. They visited French and English classes to hold speaking clubs with students. Such experience was very successful. All the students had a chance to ask interesting questions, to lead a talk and freely communicate in English and French.

Also Tobias Kiene and Pierre Guillo took part at the Round Table on international mobility that was organized by European Education Center. International students represented their HEIs and also shared their experience of participation in Erasmus+ program with students of KNUTE. These students will participate in international academic mobility programs in the second semester 2017/18 and will study at the universities of France, Germany and Poland. 

    


Round Table on International academic mobility within the program of European Union Erasmus+: experience and future development 

December 20, 2017 Round Table on International academic mobility within the program of European Union Erasmus+: experience and future development took place at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The aim of the Round Table was a discussion of organizational-coordinative questions of realization of international academic mobility of students and academic staff of KNUTE.

V. Sai, Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, gave a speech at the opening of the Round Table. T. Dupliak, director of European Education Center, represented the programs of international academic mobility for students and academic staff of the university within the program of EU Erasmus+. During the current year the university realizes 10 projects with the leading European HEIs – KNUTE partners.

The key of the event were presentations of international students – Tobias Kiene (Germany) and Pierre Guillo (France). The students have been studying under the Master degree programs in English during the first semester 2017/18 at the KNUTE. They shared their impressions about studying at our university and presented their HEIs for the students of our university.

Students who had been studying during one semester at the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany) and at the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) told about their experience of studying abroad within the program of EU Erasmus+. They told about selection criteria for the program, conditions of participation, peculiarities of education at the European HEIs.

Teachers who had been studying in summer at the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) told about selection criteria of academic staff for participation in the programs of international academic mobility of EU Erasmus+ and also they told about their own experience of traineeship.

Kateryna Ladychenko, Dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Law and Nataliia Iksarova, associate professor of the Department of International Economics told about their experience of teaching at the leading European HEI – University Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France).

The discussed questions on the Round Table were timely, modern and practical. The reports had been discussed actively by all the participants of the Round Table. This showed the considerable interest to the questions of realization and development of programs of international academic mobility within the program of UE Erasmus+ in KNUTE.

    


ERASMUS+: visit of the University Grenoble Alpes delegation

From 14 till 18 November, 2017 Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics had visited delegation of the University Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France) consisting of Alexis Garapin, the dean of the economic faculty; Faruk Ulgen, director of international relations; Natacha Collet, director of international department of economic faculty; Valentyna Bartoli, responsible person for a distance double degree program.

It is worth mentioning that this leading not only in France but in the world HEI visited Mazaraki A.A., the Rector of KNUTE. During his short visit in April of this year he also signed relevant documents.

Representatives of the University Grenoble Alpes (UGA) had an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. Questions concerning realization of double degree program between KNUTE and UGA on Bachelor degree level under the specialty «Economics and Management» and also perspectives of implementation of Master double degree program on the online study mode were discussed.

The representatives of both universities discussed questions concerning realization of student mobility and staff mobility and also discussed perspectives of prolongation of cooperation within the framework of development of new grant projects of European Union, because in the current year KNUTE realizes with UGA Erasmus+ project KA1 «Learning Mobility».

The delegation of UGA had a chance to familiarize with activity of KNUTE, university’s scientific developments, study process, resource base etc. Representatives of UGA had a workshop with English-speaking teachers of KNUTE concerning peculiarities of economic disciplines teaching at the both HEIs.

Also Alexis Garapin, Faruk Ulgen, Natacha Collet and Valentyna Bartoli made a presentation of double degree program with the University Grenoble Alpes for students of European Education Center, and for the Bachelor and Master Degree students who study in English. Organized in dialogue sessions, students had an opportunity to ask questions concerning participation in the program, requirements to candidates, study process on the online study mode etc.

An official visit of UGA representatives ended by French Republic diplomas delivery ceremony to KNUTE students, who successfully studied under the program in previous years. Student’s ID cards were given to new students of 2017/2018 academic year. Sylvain Rigollet, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine had also visited the ceremony and gave a speech to the students. 

   

   


Cooperation with the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» is gaining momentum

November 9, 2017 French delegation of Sylvain Rigollet, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine and Jacques Forgeron, Co-president of the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» (FEFU) visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The aim of the official visit was extension of the validity period of the cooperation agreement between KNUTE and FEFU and also nomination of the students for the traineeship in France in summer 2018.

Representatives of the French delegation had an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. As a result the trends of deepen cooperation both students’ participation in exchange programmes and teaching of French economic programmes by tutors volunteers from France in spring 2018 were determined.

Students were presented programs of different traineeship and their conditions. Also it was delivered certificates to the students who completed traineeship in France this summer. As the result of interview six students who study French language in European Education Center were nominated for the traineeship. We congratulate them with such achievement and we wish them success in further development of professional competences.

  


ERASMUS +: KNUTE representatives hold classes in France

Kateryna Ladychenko, Dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Law and Nataliia Iksarova, associate professor of the Department of International Economics taught the disciplines «International strategies of economic development» and «European integration» in English at the leading HEI of France – University Grenoble Alpes under the framework of the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» from9 till 22, October.

Both disciplines were chosen by French partners from the list of all the English-taught disciplines of our university. Kateryna Ladychenko and Nataliia Iksarova had been teaching the disciplines for French students and also for the students from German, Canada, Denmark, Italy, China and Japan, who study in Grenoble under exchange program. Within the frameworks of the visit to the University Grenoble Alpes, the meeting of our teachers with Alexis Garapin, Dean of the Economic Faculty and Faruc Ülgen, Director of International Relations Department was held. During this meeting the questions of further cooperation between universities were discussed.

Cooperation with the University Grenoble Alpes has been starting in 2013 and during this period 30 students of KNUTE had a chance to study under the framework of double degree program «Bachelor degree in economy and management». 11 students have already enrolled on this program for 2017-2018 academic year.

10 KNUTE students are going to study at the University Grenoble Alpes within the program of European Union Erasmus+ «Learning Mobility» in the second semester. Also the delegation from the University Grenoble Alpes will officially visit KNUTE from 14 till 18, November, 2017. Students, who successfully finished their studies under the program in 2016, will be awarded the diplomas. Also it is planned the delivery of ID cards to students of this year and presentation of the University Grenoble Alpes and conditions of study under the framework of double degree program «Bachelor degree in economy and management» during the visit. It should be recalled that English language proficiency, not less than B2 level according to European Union standards, was a strong requirement for participation in Erasmus+ international learning mobility program.

   


Internship of KNUTE students in France

KNUTE students, who had been studying French at European Education Center on the levels B1 and B2, recently came back from their internship in France under the framework of cooperation agreement with a Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» (FEFU).

Anastasiia Kovalenko, student of the Faculty of accounting, auditing and information systems, had an internship at the department of accounting expertise of the French enterprise «Gestelia Liberale». There she had an opportunity to deepen their professional knowledge and got skills of enterprise’ work. The main aim of professional internship, organized by FEFU, is a help in preparing future Ukrainian French-speaking professionals. The results of professional internship are improvement of level of business French language proficiency and receiving of necessary knowledge and practical skills, which will be used in a further professional activity.

Students Violeta Hryhorian and Vadym Yelisieiev had a linguistic internship in France. It allowed them integrating into life of French families, improving level of French language proficiency and familiarize with traditions and culture of France. The improvement of French language under the program of FEFU gives them an opportunity having a professional internship at the enterprises according with their specialties next year.

KNUTE students, who know French language, have an opportunity to internship in France too. Jacques Forgeron, Co-president of the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» will officially visit KNUTE on the 9th of November, 2017. During the visit interviews with students, who want passing linguistic or professional internships in France in summer 2018, will take place.

    


Students of KNUTE study at the European business school «Audencia»

Master degree students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics – Zhanna Ivanenko, Maria Krutko (Faculty of International Trade and Law) and Olha Hlias (Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business) went for one semester study to Audencia business school (Nantes, France) within the frameworks of student exchange program and cooperation agreement between our university and this leading European business school.

Students will study under the program «Media and Communication» in English. Student exchange program includes the study in the international team of students under the supervision of foreign teachers. The students will study the next disciplines during the period of stay at the business school Audencia: marketing, theories of PR; communication strategies and media planning; global influence of social networks; consumer behavior; intercultural communications; creative advertising; brand activation etc.

It is worth to remark that in the 2nd semester of 2017-2018 academic year KNUTE students will have a chance to go for one semester study to Audencia business school under the Program of EU Erasmus+ KA1: Learning Mobility. 

    


International Language Certificates Are Achievements of the European Education Center Language Students

Students of the KNUTE European Education Center, studying French at B1 level in 2016-2017, successfully passed the exam and got the DELFinternational language certificates at the Embassy of France in Ukraine. It is worth noting that all 6 people, including 1 university lecturer, showed high results during the exam and demonstrated all their knowledge gained during their training at the Center.

DELF includes 6 separate diplomas (A1 – C2 levels) that correspond to six levels of "Common European Framework of reference for language learning, teaching and; assessment". Four language skills (listening and speaking, reading and writing) are assessed at each level. The diplomas received by the students of the Center after the successful completion of the exam are recognized throughout the world and valid throughout life.

B1 and B2 international language certificates give an opportunity to continue studies at European universities-partners of KNUTE to get Bachelor’s and Master's degrees within the framework of double degree programs. Also, the language certificates give the opportunity to participate in the international academic mobility programs such as Erasmus+ European Union grant project.

We congratulate Maryna Vlasenko, Violeta Hryhorian, Vadym Yelisieiev, Anna Zhezhera and Alina Potots’ka, the students of the European Education Center, and Diana Faivishenko, the associate professor of Marketing and Advertising Department, on the successful passing of examinations and receiving the international DELF Certificates!

ERASMUS +: advanced training of academic staff of KNUTE in the United Kingdom

Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics is implementing 8 projects within the framework of European Union’s program ERASMUS + during the current year. One of the projects is International Credit Mobility project with the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK). Within the project 9 teachers, among which – Vitalii Andriiets, Dmytro Antiushko, Kostyantyn Afanasyev, Tetiana Dupliak, Liudmyla Zhurakhovska, Mariia Kulyk, Anna Prysiazhniuk, Maryna Chykusova and Klavdiia Yatsyshyna – had been improving their qualification in the United Kingdom in summer during 4 weeks. The competitive selection of the teachers was based on such criteria as: minimum requirement level of English proficiency B2, teaching lectures in English at least 3 years and high range score of teacher through students’ eyes.

The study at the University of Central Lancashire was focused on acquisition of professional terminology in English. The following modules were included to the study program: communication principles, difference between formal and informal communication, peculiarities of intercultural communication with foreign students, language written standards, principles of writing of scientific article and report for scientific conference, methods of students’ assessment and exposure to scientific research, active learning techniques, feedback with students etc. During the study teachers took part in webinars and had a chance to kept watch over seminars of British teachers who teach business English for foreign students. Also the following excursions were foreseen within the framework of training: excursions to London, York, Manchester, and Liverpool. The teachers were given an access to all the paper and electronic resources of the library of the University of Central Lancashire.

The final stage of the advanced training was passing of exam to prove the level of English proficiency. All 9 teachers successfully passed the exam and were awarded with the international certificates. These certificates prove the level of English proficiency B2.

Short-term study gave a chance to the academic staff of the university not only increased the knowledge from business English, but also gained pedagogical experience concerning interactive teaching. Furthermore academic staff familiarized with the educational system of the University of Central Lancashire and with culture of the United Kingdom.

The successful implementation of the ERASMUS+ project with the University of Central Lancashire had led to the improvement of level of professional English language and practical skills of its usage at the educational process. This is also will assist to improvement of the quality of teaching disciplines on the Bachelor and Master degree programs in English in KNUTE.

The next stage of implementation of the ERASMUS+ project is departure to study of 5 students in the University of Central Lancashire under the specialty «International Business Communication» (Bachelor degree). That is has unquestionably a great significance for implementation double degree programs.   

  


Awarding by the certificates teachers and students of KNUTE who successfully passed training from English and French languages

June 22, 2017 the ceremony of certificates awarding took place at the European Education Center. The students, who successfully passed training from English and French languages, were awarded with certificates. It was delivered 53 certificates among which, English: 5 – on the level «Elementary», 12 - on the level «Pre-Intermediate», 6 – on the level «Intermediate» and 15 – on the level «Upper-Intermediate»; French: 8 – on the level «Débutant» and 7 – on the level «Intermédiaire». In sum 22 teachers and 31 students got the certificates.

Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center gave a speech for the audience. She congratulated KNUTE teachers and students with certificates awarding and wished them success in further improvement of language skills.

Study program at the European Education Center is carried out according to linguistic levels of European Union standards and designed for 150 hours. Methodological support is provided by respected publishers Cambridge University Press and CLE Internationale.

  


International learning mobility of KNUTE students under the Program of EU Erasmus+

Erasmus it is a European Union student and staff exchange programme. The programme is named after the Dutch philosopher Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam who lived and worked in many places in Europe. ERASMUS is an acronym meaning European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students.

During 2014-2020 under the Key Action 1: Learning mobility of Erasmus+ Program it is planned providing of  grants and opportunities for study for around 4 millions of people and 125 thousands of organizations. 63 per cent was allocated for this from the total budget of Erasmus+ Program that consists of 14, 7 billion EUR.

The current year Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics implements 7 projects with European HEIs – KNUTE partners under the Erasmus+ Program, which are aimed to realization of right to international learning mobility. The features of these programs are their implementation under the double degree programs that is so important for increasing of competitiveness of KNUTE alumni on the European labor market.

During the academic year 7 KNUTE students took the grant opportunities of Erasmus+ Program with the aim of one semester study at the leading European HEIs:

  • Denys Liutyi – Paris-Est Créteil University (Paris, France), Master degree program «International Master in Business Management».
  • Nataliia Huba, Shant Mgeryan and Tetiana Yatsko – Grenoble Alpes University (Grenoble, France), Bachelor degree program «Economy and management».
  • Andriy Dybok – Krakow University of Economics (Krakow, Poland), Master degree program «Financial Management».
  • Tetiana Bobrikova and Dana Kavara – University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart, Germany), Master degree program «Economics and Business Administration».

In 2017-2018 will be implemented student mobility for one semester study under the Erasmus+ Program to Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) on the Master degree program in English and to Grenoble Alpes University (Grenoble, France) on the Bachelor degree program in French.

   


Round Table on International academic mobility within the program of European Union Erasmus+: experience and future development

May 18, 2017 Round Table on International academic mobility within the program of European Union Erasmus+: experience and future development took place at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The aim of the Round Table was a discussion of organizational-coordinative questions of realization of international academic mobility of students and academic staff of KNUTE within the program of European Union Erasmus+ and determination of directions and perspectives of its development.

V. Sai, Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, gave a speech at the opening of the Round Table. He put an emphasis on estimation of overall condition and future development of academic mobility and on an effort of university administration in this case.

T. Dupliak, director of European Education Center, represented the programs of international academic mobility for students and academic staff of the university, such as within the program of EU Erasmus+. During the current year the university realizes 9 projects with European HEIs – KNUTE partners within the Erasmus+ program. 7 of them are focused on realization of the right to international academic mobility.

D. Liutyi, the student of the English speaking master degree program, who had been studying during one semester at the Paris-Est Créteil University (Paris, France) within the Erasmus+ grant, shared his experience of participation in the program of international mobility. Student told about selection criteria for the program, conditions of participation, peculiarities of education at the university and answered the questions of audience.

Because KNUTE realizes Erasmus+ programs not just within the frameworks of student mobility, but also staff mobility, O. Golovachova, who is in charge for realization of Bachelor and Master English speaking programs at the university, made a report about selection criteria of academic staff for participation in the programs of international academic mobility of EU Erasmus+.

T. Gordienko, associate professor of the Department of Banking and O. Matusova, associate professor of the Department of Economics and Business Finance told about the experience of teaching at the leading European HEIs – KNUTE partners within the mutual programs of international academic mobility of EU Erasmus+ with Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) and Krakow University of Economics (Krakow, Poland).

ERASMUS +: New Horizons in Cooperation between Ukraine and France

Within the framework of ERASMUS + projects KNUTE is implementing 8 progrmmes together with European universities this year. One of the most effective projects is ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility 2016-1-FR01-KA1077-023610 with the Université Grenoble Alpes. KNUTE has been cooperating with this University since 2013.

The most significant point of cooperation between these two educational institutions is the double degree programme “Bachelor in Economics and Management”, based on distance learning in both French and English languages.

Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) offers a wide range of programmes at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, open to all students regardless of nationality.

A comprehensive, global university, the UGA enrolls about 45,000 students each year in its high-quality academic programmes, and maintains 80 research centers in all disciplines, employs 3 thousand lecturers and research professors and 2,5 thousand administrative and technical staff. KNUTE mostly cooperates with its Faculties of Economics and Law.

The University is proud of its image not only in France but in Europe as well. The UGA’s traditions – of innovation, of diversity, of excellence – are embodied in UGA’s expertise in education, creating a welcoming environment for international students, faculty, and staff and fostering the necessary skills in those who wish to broaden their horizons with an international experience. For that reason our delegation headed byA.Mazaraki, the rector of KNUTE, and consisting of V.Sai, the vice-rector, T.Dupliak, head of the European Education Center andO.Holovachova, coordinator of English Language Master’s Programmes, visited our partner university.

The partners have met to discuss the first results of 3-year cooperation. During the meeting with Lise Dumasy, the President of UGA, Jérôme Gensel, the Vice-Chair of Territorial and International Relations, and other UGA representatives, the problems with implementation of the Bachelor’s programme and ways of solving them were discussed. Curricula of both universities were compared.

Heads of both universities have talked about and agreed on the principles and directions of Master’s double degree programmes implementation. The possibility of PhD students training was also discussed. In October 2017 two lecturers from Grenoble are expected to come to KNUTE, and two KNUTE professors in International Economics have been invited to give lectures in English in UGA.

During the trip KNUTE representatives met with the students who are currently studying at UGA and discussed further changes and improvements in double degree programme.

   


Intensive French Language Course for KNUTE Students

April 7, 2017 the ceremony of certificates awarding took place at the European Education Center. The students, who passed the two weeks intensive training in French economic terminology with Gérard Beduneau, professor and representative of the Association «French as a foreign language France – Ukraine”, were awarded with certificates.

The training was held within the framework of international cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» (FEFU) and the Association “French as a foreign language France – Ukraine”. The students, who successfully passed the training, were awarded with certificates, among which 9 majoring in «Spoken French» and 10 majoring in «Business French».

Gérard Beduneau, professor, Valerii Sai, the Vice-Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center gave a speech for the audience. They congratulated KNUTE students on certificates awarding. The gratitude was expressed to the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine and to honorable guests of the Association, who taught the intensive French language course to KNUTE students the second year in a row.

  


Deepening cooperation with the University of Central Lancashire within the framework of EU Program Erasmus+

Recently students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics came back from the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) where they had been studying on the short-term program «English language and culture». Training was held in groups divided by language level from B1 to C1. After the graduation students received certificates that are proved their proficiency in English.

Besides studying English, students were proposed cultural program, which let them to get into the cultural life of the United Kingdom. Students visited famous and well-known sights of the United Kingdom such as Liverpool, York, Manchester, London etc.

Cooperation between KNUTE and this leading HEI of United Kingdom began in the end of 2013. It is planning one semester studies for KNUTE students under the specialty «International Business Communication» (Bachelor degree) within the framework of EU Program Erasmus+ KA1: Learning mobility in 2017-2018 academic year. 

  


Deepening cooperation with the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine»

February 22, 2017 French delegation of Sylvain Rigollet, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine, Jacques Forgeron, Co-president of the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» and Christina Forgeron, an employee of the Federation, visited Kyiv National University Of Trade And Economics.

During the visit an additional agreement to the international cooperation treaty between Kyiv national university of trade and economics andFederation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» was signed.

Representatives of French delegation had an informative talk with Anatolii Mazaraki, Rector of KNUTE, Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. As a result the trends of deepen cooperation between the University and the Federation were determined. It is related to students’ participation in exchange programmes and teaching of French economic programmes by tutors volunteers from France in spring 2017.

Representatives of French delegation presented the programmes of different trainings and conditions for students of European Education Center.Sylvain Rigollet, the representative of the Embassy of French Republic in Ukraine, gave a speech at the beginning of presentation. He put an emphasis on the importance of French language study, the opportunities of study in French HEIs and further usage of foreign language in professional activity.

After the presentation representatives of the Federation interviewed and selected the students of KNUTE for training in France, 2017. As the result five students who study French language in European Education Center were selected. We wish them inspiration and success in further development of professional competences. 

  


Audencia Business School Programs Presentation

On February 13, 2017 Matthew Wetherington, the representative of Audencia Business School (Nant, France) visited KNUTE.

Within the framework of the visit Mr Wetherington met V. Sai, the Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, and T. Dupliak, director of the European Education Center.

The honorary guest presented for the KNUTE students English language and French language Master programs (student exchange and double degree programs, etc.) within the cooperation agreement.

The cooperation between KNUTE and this prestigious European business school, which is well-known for its Academic Program in Management, began in 2013.

Since then 7 KNUTE students took part in one term exchange, 2 students received a degree in International Master in Management, and 3 students are still studying there within the double degree program.

It is worth mentioning that the student exchange is bilateral which proves that KNUTE is recognized on the international educational level. In 2014/2015 two French students were studying here during one semester at the English language program in Tourism.

  


British Council Program «International Offices: Best Practices»

Study programme «International Offices: Best Practices» organised by the British Council Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The programme aims at fostering professional development and capacity building of international offices in Ukrainian universities. The program consists of two modules (the duration of each module two days) which were held in September 2016 and February 2017.

The venue of the program was Kyiv. Approximately 30 leading Ukrainian HEIs took part at the workshop. Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center was an official representative from Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics at this study workshop. The working language of the workshop was English. There was no translation provided. That is why an important condition of participation was the level B2 or higher of English proficiency.

 Participants were welcomed by Ganna Novosad, Head of Department for International Relations and European Integration, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Natasha Vasylyuk, Deputy Director British Council Ukraine; Lyudmyla Tacenko, Director of Educational Programs British Council Ukraine. Svitlana Shytikova, Director of the EU project «National Tempus Office in Ukraine», delivered a separate speech on Erasmus +.

This workshop is delivered by UK experts: James Kennedy, Director Global Engagement of the University of Warwick; Gillian Olivieri, Assistant Director Global Engagement – Head of Partnerships, the University of Warwick; Stephanie Sandford, Regional Manager of Coventry University. They shared the best experience in the field of international cooperation concerning international strategy of HEI, its positioning at the international educational market and also development of international marketing and communication strategy of university. UK experts also considered questions like support optimization for international students, the development of international partnership and cooperation in research activities, attraction of financing and management of funds within the projects Erasmus + and Horizon 2020.

 


Erasmus+ international learning mobility program with Audencia Business School as a result of KNUTE internationalization

Recently Olena MATUSOVA, associate professor of economics and business finance department of KNUTE came back from Audencia Business School (Nantes, France). At Audencia she has taught the discipline «Enterprise Risk Management» in English under the program Erasmus+ «Learning mobility».

Olena MATUSOVA has been teaching the discipline «Enterprise Risk Management» at the English speaking master degree programs in KNUTE for some years. Exactly this discipline was chosen by our French partners from the list of all the KNUTE disciplines in English. English language proficiency, not less than B2 level according to European Union standards, was a strong requirement for participation in Erasmus+ international learning mobility program.

The teaching in Audencia Business School consisted of an intensive 18-hour module for a group of students of this leading European HEI that well-known all over the world because of its study programs in management.

This event is a new stage of development of international cooperation of KNUTE and is an important component of its integration to European educational environment. Not only the fact of annual increasing of international students at English speaking master degree programs but also from now the teaching of lectures by our professors in well-known European HEIs gives evidence of increasing the competitiveness of our university on international educational space.

  


For the first time KNUTE students obtained the state diplomas of the French Republic studying on online study mood

New Year’s Eve, KNUTE students finally obtained the French Republic state diplomas «Licence» («Bachelor degree»). During 2014-2015 academic year students had been studying on a mutual double degree program «Bachelor degree in economy and management» of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and Grenoble Alpes University (Grenoble, France).

According to traditions of French higher education institutions, universities’ state diplomas are given after their verification on the regional and state levels at least in half a year. Because of Grenoble Alpes University‘s reorganization (up to 01.01.2016 - Pierre Mendes-France University), the process of diploma receiving has been delayed. That is why the students – program alumni 2015 received them after a year.

It is important to note that all four students, who were the first from KNUTE to participate in realization of double degree program on online study mood both French and English languages, obtained diplomas of the French Republic. If at the beginning of this program, our French partners oriented our university at a 75-percent success due to several years of experience of other universities - their partners from the Western, Eastern, Central Europe and South America, KNUTE students showed a higher level - 100% of absolute success. KNUTE felicitates with such success – Vilinskyi Oleksandr, Kapriyelova Nataliya, Konovodova Anna, Liannaia Nataliia.

The reality of such double degree program became apparent for KNUTE students and therefore 9 students have registered on the program this year - 6 in English and 3 in French language of study. We wish them inspiration and success in online study mood program to obtain not only KNUTE diploma, but also the University of Grenoble Alpes.

 


Visit of the French Embassy in Ukraine Representatives and Francophonie University Agency Coordinator

On November 22, 2016 the representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. KNUTE welcomed Sylvain Riholle, Attache for University and Scientific Cooperation, Fabrice Peto, Attache for Cooperation in the field of the French Language, and Roksana Turkanu, coordinator of Ukraine and Moldova from the Bureau of the Central and East Europe of Francophonie University Agency (FUA).

The French delegation had a meaningful conversation with A. Mazaraki, the Rector of the University, and V. Sai, Vice Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations, during which the areas of bilateral cooperation were defined.

French Ambassy representatives and Francophonie University Agency coordinator got acquainted with the work of the KNUTE Centre for European Education. The meeting with the French delegation was attended by T. Duplak, Director of the Center, I. Ryzhova, teacher of French, N. Iksarova and O. Holovachova, French-speaking university professors and alumni of the Francophonie University Agency, as well as students having Erasmus+ scholarships enrolled in Bachelor of Economics and Management double degree program at University of Grenoble-Alpes (France).

Roksana Turkanu, Ukraine Coordinator of Francophonie University Agency told KNUTE students the information about scholarship and internship programs financed by this international organization.

During the negotiations representatives of both institutions expressed their willingness to support KNUTE students and staff in obtaining grants from the Government of France and FUA, also they agreed one of the priorities of deep cooperation, which is involving French teacher into the educational process at the KNUTE Center for European Education.

  


An official visit of «Le Cordon Bleu» representative

16 November, 2016 Nicolas Terrieux, recruitment and development representative of the Paris Culinary Academy «Le Cordon Bleu» (France) visited KNUTE. During the visit N. Terrieux had an informative talk with Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations and Tetiana Dupliak, Director of European Education Center.

Also Nicolas Terrieux held a lecture for French-speaking students of European Education Center and presented study programs of «Le Cordon Bleu».

  


Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie training workshop

3 - 4 November, 2016 Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center took part in the training workshop. Training workshop was organized by Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and Fondation Université Française en Arménie (UFAR) housed by Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.

The aim of the training workshop was exchange of the best practices concerning development and implementation of Erasmus+ projects. Working languages were English and French. Participants from HEIs of France, Ukraine, Armenia, China, Romania and Bulgaria took part in the training workshop.

 


Teachers of European Education Center advance in professional training

October 11, 2016 Iryna Rizova, teacher of European Education Center of KNUTE took part in the training seminar for French teachers, which was organized by CLE International press and Linguist company. The aim of the seminar was presentation of new study course «Tendances». This course designated for improving the procedure of preparing students for passing an exam to get international language certificate DELF-DALF.

British Council workshop

September 27-28, 2016 Tetiana Dupliak, director of European Education Center took part in the workshop «International Offices: Best Practices». The workshop was organized by British Council Ukraine with support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The aim of the workshop was professional development and competence increase of employees of international affairs departments of Ukrainian universities. Working language was English without translation.

James Kennedy, Director Global Engagement of the University of Warwick and Stephanie Sandford, Regional Manager at Coventry University were trainers from international departments of the top ranking British universities. They gave the benefit of their experience in the field of international cooperation concerning internationalization strategy of HEI, its positioning at the international educational market and also development of international marketing and communication strategy of university.    

 


Summer Language Training of KNUTE Students in the United Kingdom

Recently, students of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics Maksym Strelnikov and Oleksandra Ruda came back from study in «English Language Summer School» of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Training was organized by the European Education Centerwithin the framework of Cooperation Agreement between KNUTE and UCLan (Preston, United Kingdom).

Training was held in groups divided by language level from B1 to C1. After graduation students received certificates that prove their proficiency in English.

Training in «English Language Summer School» of the University of Central Lancashire enables students to deepen their knowledge of English, which is the main precondition for further study at English-speaking Master degree programs in KNUTE and the double degree programs in one of six European universities - partners of our University.

 Besides learning English, students were proposed cultural program, which let them get into the cultural life of the United Kingdom. Students visited famous and well-known sights of the United Kingdom such as Liverpool, York, Manchester, London etc. 

  

  


Students of KNUTE study at Grenoble Alpes University

Recently, students of European Education Center of KNUTE – Tsokota Viktoriia, Shelikhovska Maryna and Shydlovska Anastasiia – came back from the Grenoble Alpes University (before 01.01.2016 Pierre Mendes-France University), where they had been studying during one semester under the double degree program «Bachelor degree in economy and management».

During the study students had been attending classes from such disciplines, as: «Money and finance», «International economy», «Industrial economy», «French for foreigners» etc. Sports activities were a core course of study program and students could chose the activity in their own discretion. Students got an experience from the international level lecturers, unforgettable memories and made friends from all over the world.

Double degree program «Bachelor degree in economy and management» between KNUTE and Grenoble Alpes University (UGA) – is a unique opportunity because student can obtain not only Ukrainian diploma but also French Republic state diploma «Licence» («Bachelor degree»). Student can study in English or French at the own choice on online study mood with an opportunity to go for a study for the second semester to France.  Students from all the faculties of the last year of Bachelor degree, Master degree students and alumni of KNUTE can take this opportunity.

For students, who study under the program in English also organized educational trip to UGA in spring for two weeks. During the trip students have a chance not just study but also visit the leading enterprises of Rhone-Alpes region and meet with the university representatives. In the end of two weeks study students receive certificates and also get unforgettable impressions from studying in the international team.

An official visit of French Ambassador to Ukraine

On April 29, 2016 Isabelle DUMONT, the «Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary French Ambassador to Ukraine» visited Kyiv National University of Trade and Economy. The delegation consisted of the Adviser for Culture and Cooperation and Director of French Institute in Ukraine – Pascal Sliwanski, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, Director of French-Ukrainian Center for University and Scientific Cooperation – Sylvain Rigollet and program coordinator of Campus France in Ukraine – Olga Dorosh.

Students of European Education Center had an opportunity to talk personally with the Ambassador. Mrs. DUMONT spoke of French-Ukrainian cooperation development. During the visit Mrs. DUMONT and her attendants had an informative talk with Rector of KNUTE, Anatolii MAZARAKI, Vice-Rectors Nataliia PRYTULSKA and Valerii SAI and also Director of European Education Center, Tetiana Dupliak.

  


The successful results of the French language intensive training of students and professors of KNUTE

April 22, 2016 at European Education Center were awarded language certificates to students and professors of the university which had passed two weeks intensive training from specific French language with representative of Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine professor Gérard Beduneau.

As the result of training, which was held within the framework of international cooperation agreement between Kyiv national university of trade and economics, Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» (FEFU) and Association of French as foreign language France – Ukraine, was awarded 31 language certificates, signed by G. Beduneau and rector of KNUTE A. Mazaraki, among which 16 majoring in «Spoken French» and 15 majoring in «Business French».

At the award ceremony was present V. Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, and T. Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. They congratulated students and professors of the university with getting of language certificates and wished them further successes in improving level of foreign languages proficiency.

Specialization course of French language with Gérard Béduneau

Within the framework of international cooperation agreement between Kyiv national university of trade and economics, Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» (FEFU) and Association of French language as international France – Ukraine to KNUTE with two weeks visit had came the representative of Association, French professor Gérard Béduneau. Gérard Béduneau is a former director (2001-2012) of International institute of banking and finance of the Central Bank of France. From April 11 to 22, 2016 G. Béduneau will teach specialization course of French economic terminology for European Education Center students.

Under the framework of visit took place an informative talk between G. Béduneau and V. Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, and T. Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. As a result the trends of deepen cooperation between the University and the Association about teaching of specialization French courses in KNUTE by French teachers were determined.

Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine» includes 16 associations, among other Association of French language as international France – Ukraine, provide assistance to Ukrainian youth in the field of education. Over the past two decades of fruitful activity Federation made a significant contribution to development of Ukrainian – French dialogue, educational, scientific and cultural cooperation two countries.

 


International Mother Language Day celebration

February 23, 2016 employees and students of European Education Center took part in the celebration devoted to International Mother Language Day within the frameworks of which were presented international academic mobility programs for students and academic staff of KNUTE.

Students of European Education Center shared their impressions from studying foreign languages in Center, particularly English and French, and also told about their experience of participating in double degree programs, English language summer schools etc. Students talked with university’s administration and honorable guests to demonstrate their knowledge of foreign languages. 

 


Video Conference with Pierre Mendès-France University (Grenoble, France)

The European Education Center contributed to organizing the video conference between Pierre Mendès-France University (UPMF), a partner of KNUTE, and students of our university obtaining Bachelor degree in Economics and Management in accordance with the double degree program.

The aim of this video conference was to introduce the lecturer Grégory Vanel, who teaches International Economics, to the students and to give them the first online lecture.

After the lecture the students had an opportunity to discuss some important issues of international business, multinational corporations functioning, globalization and internationalisation processes. The lecturer spoke about international trade theory, methods of internationalization, etc.  

It was the first time when the European Education Center students could participate in the video conference of such a format and in the future the organizers are planning to expand the range of disciplines, which can also be presented in video lecture. 

     


Students of European Education Center got international language certificates

                       

In European Education Center on 21 December, 2015 took place international language certificate delivery ceremony to students, who had successfully passed exams in Institut français d'Ukraine and in British Council Ukraine. It was delivered 11 international language certificates among which are: 2 DELF/DALF certificates level B2, 2 DELF/DALF certificates level B1 and 5 DELF/DALF certificates level A2, and also 2 IELTS certificates level B2.

DELF/DALF certificates that proved knowledge of French language on the different language levels issued by Ministry of education and youth of France after passing exam. These certificates give an opportunity for students to continue their studying in one of universities – partners of KNUTE in France at the Bachelor (language level B1) and Master (language level B2) programs within the frameworks of double degree programs.

IELTS – this is an international English language testing system. International language certificate IELTS level B2 give an opportunity for students to study at the English speaking Master programs that are proposed by different HEIs all over the world, which includes KNUTE.

We congratulate students of European Education Center with delivering of international language certificates and wish them success in improving the levels of different languages proficiency. 

 


Visit of the Representative of Paris-Est Creteil University (Paris, France)

            Odil Solnik, the head of International Relations Department (UPEC) visited KNTEU on 7-9 December, 2015. She hold the meeting with A. Mazaraki, Rector and also negotiated with V. Sai, Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relations, T. Dupliak, Director of European Education Center. During the visit the trends of deepen collaboration were defined.

            Mrs Solnik got acquainted with the work of European Education Center. She presented Bachelor and Master Programmes (in French and English languages) to the students of the Center and the study conditions at UPEC.

            During French guest's visit it was made the decision to expand the collaboration in 2016 concerning students' exchange and the development of joint international projects, first of all the project of Erasmus European Union Programme + Credit Mobility.

 


Students at KNUTE study in France - International Academic Mobility in Action

Katerina Dumanova and Olga Riabchenko "Master" degree students of the KNUTE went to the High School of Management Audensia (Nantes, France) semester training in 2015-2016 year within the framework of the student exchange program and the cooperation agreement of our university with this leading European business school. The training will take place under the program "International Master in Management". The student exchange program involves studying in an international team of students led by international faculty members. Students will study subjects such as: European Business Management; international business strategies; supply chain management; business planning; change management; project management; international finance; marketing; human resources management, etc. The training will be in English.

Christina Yakovlenko student of the  European Education Center KNUTE also went to France to study at the University of d'Aurverne (Clermont-Ferrand) within the framework of an agreement on double diploma in Management. The annual training program envisages obtaining the state diploma of the French Republic of the educational degree "License" ("Bachelor"). Three more students of KNUTE continue their studies at the University of d'Aurverne, also: Arthur Vegera, Evgenii Veremii, Anastasiia Kovpak.

 


Cпівробітництво з Федерацією «Обміни Франція-Україна»

12 листопада  2015 року в рамках угоди про співпрацю делегація Федерації «Обміни Франція-Україна» (FEFU) на чолі зі співпрезидентом Жаком Форжероном відвідала КНТЕУ з офіційним візитом.

Федерація «Обміни Франція-Україна» функціонує вже понад 20 років. Одним з важливих завдань FEFU є організація лінгвістичного та професійного стажування для студентів. Під час проходження практики у Франції студенти не лише опановують свою професію на підприємствах, але й мають можливість покращити рівень володіння французькою мовою та ознайомитися з культурою, традиціями та історією цієї країни.

Представники Федерації презентували програми різних видів практики та умови їх проходження, а також провели співбесіди та здійснили відбір студентів КНТЕУ (насамперед серед тих, які навчаються у Центрі європейської освіти) на проходження практики у Франції в 2016 р.

У рамках візиту відбулася змістовна бесіда представників FEFU з ректором А.А. Мазаракі, а також переговори з проректором з науково-педагогічної роботи та міжнародних зв’язків В.М. Саєм і директором ЦЄО Т.П. Дупляк, на яких визначалися напрями поглиблення співпраці між університетом та Федерацією як у рамках участі студентів КНТЕУ в програмах обміну, так і щодо викладання спеціалізованих франкомовних програм в університеті викладачами-волонтерами з Франції навесні 2016 р.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and University of Central Lancashire (Preston, Great Britain) Head of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business, Doctor of Economics Boyko Margaritaunderwent language training that was conducted by Summer Language School of UCLan.

 

Cooperation of KNUTE with the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine

On August 20, 2015 in KNUTE was held a meeting of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations Valerii Sai and Director of the European Education Center Tetiana Dupliak with diplomats of Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine: Silven Rigole - newly appointed Attache for University and Scientific Cooperation, Director of the French-Ukrainian Center of University and Scientific Cooperation, Gilles Mametz – who is finishing his duties on this position, and other representatives from above mentioned French center.

During the meeting was summed up the French-Ukrainian cooperation of KNUTE in the academic year 2014/15, in particular regarding to realization of distance program of Double Degree «Bachelor degree in Economics and Management» with Pierre Mendès-France University (Grenoble, France), departure of our students to study in HEIs of France – KNUTE partners through the Double Degree Programs, signing an Agreement with the Federation «Exchanges France-Ukraine», holding in KNUTE the workshop of French chef Jeremy Morin, participation of KNUTE students in servicing the official reception at the Residence of the Ambassador of the French Republic in Ukraine, and also other cultural and scientific events organized by the Embassy of French Republic in Ukraine.

Within the framework of negotiations was presented progress in work of European Education Center of KNUTE, discussed an opportunity to provide Center with the French lecturer of Embassy of France in Ukraine, and also was discussed an opportunity to provide access for students and teaching staff of the Center to e-portal of Multimedia library of French Institute in Ukraine, which has a number of books, periodicals, audio and video materials to study French.

Also it was discussed matters concerning extension of geographical cooperation of KNUTE with HEIs of France within the framework of Double Degree (English and French speaking Bachelor and Master Programs).

The representatives of the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine expressed readiness to support students and staff members of KNUTE upon receipt visas, and also guaranteed its free issue for students, who will be studying in HEIs of France – KNUTE partners.

It was tentatively agreed about the meeting of the Ambassador of the French Republic in Ukraine with the students and academic staff of KNUTE in September/October 2015.


Language Summer School – is an additional opportunity of double degree

Student of European Education Center of KNUTE Kachur Mariia came back from two weeks study in «Summer School» of Paris-Est Créteil University (UPEC) in Paris.

The study was held in the framework of cooperation agreement between KNUTE and UPEC from June 29 to July 10 under the program «French as a foreign language».

Besides studying French, students were proposed cultural program, which let to deepen in cultural life of France and Paris particularly. Students were shown not just famous and well-known sights of Paris, but they were performed how the French people rest in a free time, what type of sports they take and what they are interested in.

As in «Summer School» took part students from 11 countries, our student improve both French and English languages.

At the end of study the student received certificate of Paris-Est Créteil University. Study in Paris let our student not just improved levels of languages proficiency and came in cultural life of capital of France, but to shared unforgettable impressions with new friends from all over the world!

Because of studying in «Summer School» Mariia achieved her goal – to improve the levels of languages proficiency for the further study under the programs of double degree in one of 6 European HEIs – partners of KNUTE.  


Visit of British partners

June 23, 2015 under the Memorandum of understanding between KNUTE and University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) took place a meeting of International Department regional coordinator Emily Page with Vice-Rector of international affairs Valerii Sai and director of European Education Center Tetiana Dupliak. During the meeting were discussed questions concerning extension of cooperation about students’ exchange, lecturers’ trips and development of mutual international projects. 


Double Degree Program in action. France for students of KNUTE

In June 2015 students of European Education Center KNUTE Kapriyelova Nataliya and Liannaia Nataliia returned from semester study at Pierre Mendès-France University (Grenoble, France) within the framework of the Double Degree program «Bachelor in Economics and Management».

During the study students got an unforgettable experience and knowledge from the international level lecturers in such disciplines as «Money and Finance», «International Economy», «Industrial Economy» etc. They improved knowledge of French, successfully passed DELF exam at the level B2. Also they got French cultural life experience and made friends from all over the world. And the most important – received French Republic state diplomas «Licence» («Bachelor degree»).

    

  


Presentation of grants programs of the University Francophonie Agency

On April 6, 2015, Roman Kwiatkowski, the representative of the University Francophonie Agency (UFA) presented grant programs for French-speaking students of the European Education Center . Also, the head of the Center held a working meeting with the UAF representative, during which issues on the further participation of KNUTE in this international organization were discussed.


The opening of the French Spring

On April 4, 2015, students and representatives of the  European Education Center visited the opening of the French Spring festival.  In the framework of the opening program they could see the street play "I am a dream ..." during which the bell tower and the dome ensemble of St. Sophia for 20 minutes shone with a mosaic image.


Gala on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the activities of the Ukrainian School of Arts (Paris, France)

On February 24, 2015, Madame Olena Mistal, the director of the Ukrainian School of Arts at the Embassy of Ukraine in Paris, who has business and friendly relations with KNUTE, invited representatives of the European Education Center  to took part in the gala devoted to the tenth anniversary of the activities of the Ukrainian School of Arts (Paris, France), which took place at the Teacher's House in Kyiv.


Winter School of Economics in Rome

From January 27 to February 2, 2015, the  European Education Center have organized a trip for students of KNUTE to study at the Winter School of Economics 2015 at the Guglielmo Marconi University (GMU) (Rome, Italy). This trip gave KNUTE students an opportunity to familiarize with the main aspects of management, economics and finance in the European Union countries, to discuss the causes and effects of the global financial and economic crisis, and to study the theoretical approaches and practical mechanisms of financial regulation. The participants of the school not only gained new knowledge in economics, finance and management, but also got an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of Italy. After graduation, all students from the Winter School of Economics 2015 received certificates of participation. 


Visit of French colleagues

On December 17, 2014, Valerii Saii, the Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relationsof KNUTE and Tetiana Dupliak, the director of the  European Education Center held a working meeting with Pierre Bai, the director of the department of remote education of University Pierre Mendes France, Grenoble (France), and  Gile Mametz, Attache on University and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine. During the meeting the further introduction of a double degree system on the basis of distance education was discussed.


  

University Agency for Francophonie (AUF)

On November 27, 2014, Valerii Saii, the Vice-Rector on Scientific-Pedagogical Work and International Relationsof KNUTE and Tetiana Dupliak, the director of the  European Education Center had the working meeting with Roman Kwiatkowski, the representative of the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF). During this meeting issues of further the participation of KNUTE in this international organization were discussed.


Presentation on topic "The System of Higher Education in France"

November 27, 2014, Oksana Lando, the scholarship coordinator of the French Embassy in Ukraine, had a presentation on the peculiarities of the higher education system in France for the students of the European Center for Education. Students learned about the differences in the training of specialists in economics and management in higher education in France compared to Ukraine. Madam Lando also spoke about French governmental scholarship programs for foreign students.


International Specialized Exhibition "Education Abroad"

On November 14, 2014, the representatives of the European Education Center of KNUTE attended the international specialized exhibition "Education and Career - Student's Day 2014" and an exhibition of foreign educational institutions "Education Abroad" that took place indoors National Center for Business and Cultural Cooperation “Ukrainian House” with the purpose of collecting and analyzing information about education in Europe, . One of the Center's tasks is to monitor the European educational market, to study and generalize the foreign and domestic experience of implementing double degree programmes, as well as to collect information on the features of studying abroad.


Ukrainian Information Day of the Erasmus + Program

On November 4, 2014 representatives of the  European Education Center participated in the Ukrainian Information Day of the Erasmus + Program, organized by the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine, in cooperation with the European Union Delegation to Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the EU Executive Agency of education, audiovisual media and culture. One of the functions of the European Education Center is the analytical and expert support of the development of the double diploma Erasmus + projects of the KNUTE.


Double degree program "Bachelor of Economics and Management"

October 27, 2014 at the  European Education Center of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics group of students started a distance studies within the framework of the double degree program "Bachelor of Economics and Management" of the University of Pierre Mendez France, Grenoble (France). After the training, students will receive state diplomas of France.


Beginning of studies at the European Education Center

October 06, 2014, the first 8 groups of students have begun their studies of English and French languages at the European Education Center of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. The Center also has a group of lecturers and staff from the KNUTE to study English on the “Elementary” level.


Presentation of the  European Education Center

On October 4, 2014, in the framework of the celebration of the "Day of Tourism - 2014", a presentation of the  European Education Center was held at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. Also, the Center was the co-organizer of the English Language Competition, which was attended by teams of all faculties of the University.
