AI-driven disinformation is rapidly becoming one of the most pressing challenges for democratic debate, information integrity, and trust in digital ecosystems. The newly launched Disinformation and AI Law (DAIL) project addresses this challenge through an interdisciplinary lens—bringing together legal analysis and applied AI expertise to develop practical governance responses.

Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with support from the German Federal Foreign Office, DAIL is implemented as a partnership between the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg–Schweinfurt (THWS) and the State University of Trade and Economics. The project also reflects the forward-looking research agenda of our Department, strengthening its engagement with emerging EU and global debates on platform governance, AI regulation, and the protection of democratic values in the digital sphere.

Opportunity for students: short-term mobility programme (Germany, April 2026)

DAIL invites nine students from Law or IT programmes to join a short-term mobility programme hosted at the Center Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at THWS (Würzburg–Schweinfurt, Germany). The programme combines expert-led workshops, interdisciplinary teamwork, and institutional visits, culminating in a pitching session where participants present interim results and receive feedback for refinement.
